Own up....

Now I'm all for everyone (that wants to) standing at football but I believe at Anfield if you're sat in the back few rows of the visitors section you really can't see anything if fans stand up because of the overhang of the tier above so it probably was just procedure.

I think it's more a disgrace that Liverpool can charge what they do for those seats knowing that. People do stand at football.

I saw one pathetic middle aged woman complaining. She should be put down.
the ignorance of youth lol.

I suspect the young braves who stand up now will be the 'pathetic middle aged complaining' in 20-30years time.

I suspect that lady has given many years travelling supporting our team. Many of the aged people you moan about probably went through a lot more to support their team in the late 60's 70 and 80s that the cosseted and escorted fans do now to football matches .

Going to away game 20-30 years ago was not like it is now( thankfully)

Well said.

It is a difficult one. I am quite happy to sit down away (though generally you are 'up and down'), but also recognise that some games will be standing regardless - which I don't mind either. However I do also feel a little sorry for older fans who are unable to stand for a whole game and are forced to - they have, after all, paid for a "seat". The only way round it would be for clubs to allocate seats at the front to those who want to sit, and work the allocation from the back for those who don't. This will never happen however as it would be seen as condoning standing in seated areas, which would contravene stadium regulations.

The other obvious answer is 'safe standing' areas, but that is a whole other argument...

i understand why some get frustrated with people who want to sit down, it seemed at one time that the older fans used to get the seats in the stands and the lads would go on the terraces, of course with all seating the fans get mixed together. The young fans need to respect the others but of course the mix makes it harder for an atmosphere to be achieved,as the older fans don't necessarily want to do the. Congo
