manji Posted 20 September, 2013 Posted 20 September, 2013 I think a lot of us are getting used to low flying Police helicopters circling certain areas at night with searchlights. But this morning an unmarked Lynx heli (not Police)was hovering for ages over the Norham Road near Winchester Road. Any idea what the hell it was up to ?
bpsaint Posted 20 September, 2013 Posted 20 September, 2013 Probably to do with this.... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10689338.Five_in_court_as_15_charged_after_mass_drugs_raids/
Pugwash Posted 20 September, 2013 Posted 20 September, 2013 Could be to do with the hospital helipad. Quite a few private helicopters use the approach for practice (without actually landing).

Pugwash Posted 21 September, 2013 Posted 21 September, 2013 No it was a grey unmarked Lynx Military helicopter. Military practice there as well. How long was it hovering?
Dimond Geezer Posted 21 September, 2013 Posted 21 September, 2013 My Mrs saw them (there were two) land at the General hospital, they had to make way for an emergency, possibly coming from the M3 crash, and hovered around the area whilst the Air Ambulance took up temporary residence.
shirleysfc Posted 22 September, 2013 Posted 22 September, 2013 It was two (marked) Royal Navy helicopters that did landings at the general.
amsterdam Posted 23 September, 2013 Posted 23 September, 2013 We've got quite a few here in Nairobi at the mo.!!
