saint_stevo Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 Did we play 4-3-3 away from home? Do we not make a tackle? Does Lloyd James watch people run past him? Do we not jump for headers? Are we so slow? And slow to react? Do we play like we are in a practise match? Did Jan look happy when they showed him on the sideline, laughing and joking? Was i looking forward to watching this all day? Do i know feel like someone has told me my dog has died? Realisation? Thoroughly fed up......

Its just the one up front at all times remember !!
Weston Super Saint Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 You should be used to this by now.
Saints foreva Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 Why don't we just be normal and do 4-4-2? Been seeing this team do lots of flick ons but beacause we only have the lone striker it don't work when hes the one flicking it on.

Because Rupert decided the new revolutionary coaching set up will work, so there is no other option
saint_stevo Posted 8 December, 2008 Author Posted 8 December, 2008 was crying out for 4-4-2 in the second half. Having got ruined in the first
beatlesaint Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 was crying out for 4-4-2 in the second half. Having got ruined in the first I was told a couple of weeks ago by some experts on this forum that 4-4-2 wasnt the answer when I suggested it after the Plymouth training session, sorry, game !

NickG Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 think its more about players not being good enough than formation,
benjii Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 think its more about players not being good enough than formation, Even if that were true, which it may be, then that is precisely why you should play a simple formation. One that is capable of producing simple goals from straightforward basics (see Crystal Palace tonight for an example of a slow, fat bloke achieving success).... not a complete shower that is threatening to wreck people's careers before they've even got going.
ottery st mary Posted 8 December, 2008 Posted 8 December, 2008 think its more about players not being good enough than formation, Possibly vary the formations as required then?
