For me, it's a question of overall team style, if the idea is to appear nippy, with a harassing, fast passing free flowing style then I personally think Jack Cork is more in keeping with that system. I think VW seems to slow the play down too much, I know it's his job to break the opponents attacks up and I think he's excellent at that, my impression is that the rest of last seasons players want to move the ball about faster than VW is used to.

Personally I'd be looking at ditching Lallana. Don't think i've seen him perform in a while. I'd like to see a midfield combination of Wanyama behind Cork and Schneiderlin and then see how we perform.

Thinking back to last season where picking up points was a struggle early on, Cork's introduction to the side after injury did see us turn the corner and start to perform.

There's no reason why we can't play all 3.

Wanyama hasn't really offered much going forward so sit him infront of the back 4. Allowing Cork and Scneiderlin to press higher up the pitch which they did so well last season.

(Cork is one of, if not THE best tackler we have in the squad IMO)

A 3 man midfield would give the fullbacks a bit more freedom to get further forward and provide the width.

And then take your pick from Lambert, Osvaldo, Ramirez, Lallana and Rodriguez for the front 3.

To me after watching just 5 or 6 games with Wanyama it would seem that Jack Cork is far more mobile than Victor is as of yet.

Jack scoots about all over the midldle 50 yards of the pitch whereas Victor seems to be enrooted in a circle of about 15 yards diameter on the right side of midfield towards our side of the centre circle. It would also seem to me that Victor doesn't seem to like to pass square or square'ish to Morgan, he either tries to go forward or more often backwards.
