I'm on the lookout for a few more players for a game against a Man United supporters' team on the morning of our game at Old Trafford next month. It'll be an 11:00 kickoff at Partington Sports Village.

We've currently got 10 definites... if you fancy a game, please let me know.

Current Squad:

GK: Ash Ennever

DF: Mike Hole, Andy Porter, Kev Thornton, Mike McIntyre, Dan Armstrong

MF: Mike Fordham, Rich White, Ant James, Stu Booth

FW: Steve Grant, Mark Keenan, Jules Ganley

Edit: Up to 13 definites now :o

worrying if we are resorting to picking fat, unfunny comedians with floppy hair.

Richard White is playing... I wonder what delights he can bring to the SIFC team...

Age is no big deal, we've got at least one 40+. Fitness is always handy, but we're likely to have a few subs.

Jouls' age is known to no man. He's the Kanu of IFC football.

Ok I'm in. Half 10 for 11 kick off?? Stretch off warm up etc?? Somewhere near the rear guard for me please, I prefer my football brain to do the running for me nowadays!! :-)

How'd you get on Steve? Citeh at home might be a good game to try an arrange to get our own back for Worldnet? Especially with the travelling they'd have to do?

Got battered 10-1 - they were a very good side to be fair to them, much younger and fitter as well. 6 of our 11 were over 30. Thought we played some decent stuff in patches, created a few chances especially in the second half when their defence switched off a bit.

I don't think City are able to get a side down to us for that game, unfortunately, as they've all organised a trip to Munich the week before to watch them get their arses handed to them on a plate by Bayern again.

Missed a talismanic presence in the number 9 shirt if you ask me. :D

I had assumed you got battered by the complete lack of mentions of the match by anyone anywhere. What's the Worldnet qualification cut-off for games played?

My first XI a side games in about 5 years told both in terms of fitness and the ability to play a simple 10 yard pass!!

They were a very good side with some excellent players, particularly the lad in centre midfield who was superb and their two strikers. All very fit and play together every week. Good finish from Mr Grant for our one moment of glory.

3 games organised by the end of March. Plenty of time.

I think we had the last laugh though. ;) It would have been good to see there faces at the final whistle of the 2nd match that day. :)

Fair play to all those still playing, particularly the over 30's. You need to play as long as you can as you never know when you may not be able to and then you will miss it.

Also not an easy thing to organise playing a game a few 100 miles from home so top effort all round especially to Mr Grant. So who really gives a **** about the score?

Was there any dressing room unrest? Must be hard sitting down together when some might've disagreed about the validity of a transfer rumour or whether Ramirez is any good,

What are their saintsweb names? it would kind of spoil the mystique knowing Turkish had a real name though

Still aching. And I fit into the over 40 bracket and it showed, good laugh though. Nice to meet some of the posters off here. Did enjoy the second match of the day more though!
