hypochondriac Posted 19 September, 2013 Share Posted 19 September, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24149109 Hmm it seems that according to some, this campaign has done more harm than good. I thought the message was "at least they are doing something?"
orchardsaint Posted 19 September, 2013 Share Posted 19 September, 2013 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24149109 Hmm it seems that according to some, this campaign has done more harm than good. I thought the message was "at least they are doing something?" Stonewall told BBC Sport they teamed up with Paddy Power because they can "talk the language of fans and players" and, while the slogan might be risque, the "overall message was to make sure that homophobic abuse does not have a place in the game." this was from that article, for those of you who can't be @rsed to read it, but i think it is terrible that gay people, e.g. stonewall, believe that all football supporters are gamblers. why else would paddy power be able to "talk the language of fans and players". that is an uncomfortable stereotype stance for any organisation to take, and i for one am offended by their views! Hmm. They talk the language of fans and players which may include risque comments. Could not does your boyfriend know you're here been seen as the language of football banter on the terraces which may be seen as a risque comment? Have Paddy Power just done exactly what they have accused football fans of doing???
