Why do people look at the OS,just pointless bull****.

because its the only site that you can take for fact with real news, like it only says we have bought someone when we actually have.... unlike some sites... :D

Taken from his OS interview

"Things have gone really well for me so far this season and long may that continue," he said.

OMG!!!

He must set himself some pretty low targets then.

If he is our main first choice striker or man in the hole, whatever, then we are in big big trouble.

He will not score enough goals to keep this club in the Championship I'm afraid.

the truth was the whole team was poor but we got to have a thread about one player.how about the rest of the team.

Because he has been sh1te all season.

Th rest of the team, although ****e, are not disgusting cheats and at least 'play' with some effort

He is consistently ****e,yet gets picked every week so therefore

attracts the most attention

Coming away from St Marys on Saturday there was a group of lads talking about our striker situation and one said "if we had a premiership quality striker we would be fine".

To be honest we would be fine with a Championship quality striker, that would do.......unfortunately the ones we have are out on loan and McGoldrick is not yet good enough for this division despite our Director Of Football believing he is.

7 or 8 goals i think who else in the side gets any goals.

5 in the league (one of which was a pen and another which was really Lallana's).

So 3 in open play then, not good enough:smt102:smt102

I think it's harsh to slate McGoldrick based on tonight's performance.

To be fair to him, nobody did well tonight and as a team we were poor.

Still, I have to admit I do find DMG very frustrating.

However, he does have his moments (Preston away) which makes him hard to drop.

We are not slating him on tonights performance alone,we are slating

him because he has been utter S H I T E all season.

thats funny i did not see them on the subs bench:D but we could do with a experienced striker along mcgoldrick ,but we cannot afford to keep them.

We also can`t afford to continue with this toothless setup either as we

WILL BE RELEGATED IF WE DO NOT SCORE GOALS.

A lazy, slow pathetic excuse of a footballer with an awful attitude.

But worse than that, he's a cheat. I hope he never plays for us again.

****

Sums him up perfectly.

He looks like a player completely off form and might benefit from a few games in the reserves.

Mcgoldrick in the four games I have seen is patently not good enough.[ The games were

Ipswich- poor, Coventry - scored but ordinary, Watford- woeful, missed penalty and

numerous other chances. The last game was Plymouth and he missed best Saints chance

of night with dreadful control.

I still think he has more ability than most of our players and could be a very good player at this level.

He would benefit by playing upfront with a strike partner who knows how to be a striker in professional league football.

I cant really get that annoyed at either DMG or Robertson. its not their fault they get picked even though they are not good enough. There's no-one better, apart from those out on loan - its not like they are keeping better players out of the side. If they were underperforming then that would be frustrating but I dont believe they can do much better. DMG, whatever thinks or pretends to think about him, has not even done it at a lower level than this, and Robertson was loaned out from another side at our level, so he's clearly not that great either.

If you don't have the quality up front, like a Premiership quality striker like Doyle at Reading, then maybe our neat passing outside the penalty area is not the way forward. Then i think you need someone like Howard at Derby when they went up. Go more direct and have your big, strong, ugly man up there with little ability but getting on of long punts up field and play from there. Tonight was a good example, Kuqi is terrible in terms of ability but he won almost every header, barged Pearce out the way for the opener, and generally gave Palace a platform to attack our frail defence.

Unfortunately we have neither options, so i guess we'll just continue to be the best passing side on the way down to league one. How nice

That is the problem, but I wonder if Patterson had been given as long a run in the team that DMG has had, wether he could have done better.

I would also like to see Jamie White come back from loan and send DMg the other way.

i think jamie will come back a better player after his loan spell and could be one of our subs and will be a good playerin time and i rate patterson isanother i would bring in slowley because, i don,t think he can play 90 mns at the moment at this level but i rally rate him.

I think he did. In early pre season he was probably expecting to either be loaned out or play a handfull of games or sub appearances. Little did he realise that he was going to be number 1 choice upfront and possibly 8 goals is far more than he would ever expected. He may even have been happy with 8 appearances if you had asked him pre season.

So DMG is now getting the same treatment on here that Jones, Fuller, Blackstock and Best received - well it obviously works...

Let's not forget Davis, Davies, Delap, Telfer, Alan Bennett.....
