Glasgow_Saint Posted 12 January, 2014 Author Posted 12 January, 2014 (edited) That's exactly what they show. Did mine back in the late 70's and was invited to join. They certainly had their share of weirdos . That's my concern mate. Getting pressure to join up again Edited 12 January, 2014 by Glasgow_Saint
aintforever Posted 12 January, 2014 Posted 12 January, 2014 what an interesting post my IQ has been tested as quite high but I always saw that as just confirming that I was pretty good at IQ tests, nothing more If you were really clever you would have known that before.
Essruu Posted 12 January, 2014 Posted 12 January, 2014 Is joining Mensa a smart move? I am getting pressure to join You should take a hearing test too; it was more likely an invite to join MENCAP.
Whitey Grandad Posted 12 January, 2014 Posted 12 January, 2014 Is IQ relevant? No, but intelligence is, together with the ability to use it wisely.
Barry Sanchez Posted 12 January, 2014 Posted 12 January, 2014 No, but intelligence is, together with the ability to use it wisely. Street smarts for me, my wife is the clever one but no common sense, that is obvious as she married me...........................
Whitey Grandad Posted 12 January, 2014 Posted 12 January, 2014 Street smarts for me, my wife is the clever one but no common sense, that is obvious as she married me........................... I've met a lot of highly intelligent people who were extremely gullible. You could talk them into anything
Glasgow_Saint Posted 12 January, 2014 Author Posted 12 January, 2014 Is IQ relevant? Nice mix of both is ideal
Ohio Saint Posted 12 January, 2014 Posted 12 January, 2014 I remember a "Through the Keyhole" episode where Jimmy Saville left his copy of MENSA's magazine on his coffee table to impress the viewers. That is what you are wasting good cash on. Paying a membership fee in order to impress people that actually think you are kinda gullible for falling for a trick like that. You have to be stupid to be a member of MENSA
