Badger Posted 7 September, 2013 Posted 7 September, 2013 How good an alternative is this to other security measures/firewalls etc such as McAfee or Norton ? Anyone able to advise here please ? Thanks
EBS1980 Posted 9 September, 2013 Posted 9 September, 2013 On a similar front, what is the best free anti virus to get? my free year of Norton runs out in a few days and i don't really want to pay to keep it so want to look at free alternatives.
Jimmy_D Posted 9 September, 2013 Posted 9 September, 2013 Malware Bytes is the best free virus scanner I've used (especially the stealth methods of installing it has to get rid of tricky viruses that try to block anti-virus). Adaware or AVG are also good alternatives if you want real time protection running in the background for free.
