Kingsland Red Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 On another epic night for SRL, 85 year old Svensson (knocked the Argies out) scores the winner against the ROI in Dublin.
farawaysaint Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 I don't know how that man is still playing so damn well for his country
Kingsland Red Posted 6 September, 2013 Author Posted 6 September, 2013 His shuffling style around the centre circle is clearly designed for longevity.
RonManager Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 [h=2]Anders Svensson[/h] Sweden's goal machine....etc etc
Minty Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 And Marian Pahars' Latvia side beat Lithuania too...
david in sweden Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 On another epic night for SRL, 85 year old Svensson (knocked the Argies out) scores the winner against the ROI in Dublin. also equalled (f.goalie) Thomas Ravelli's record of 143 caps (incl. tonight's game).
Edmonton Saint Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 And he also equalled Thomas Ravelli's record of most caps for Sweden with his 143rd cap this evening. Should go onto beat the record against Kazhakstan on Tuesday now
Edmonton Saint Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 also equalled (f.goalie) Thomas Ravelli's record of 143 caps (incl. tonight's game). Damn too slow again...
The Majestic Channon Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 And he also equalled Thomas Ravelli's record of most caps for Sweden with his 143rd cap this evening. Should go onto beat the record against Kazhakstan on Tuesday now are you a odd stalker or are you svensk??
Dellman Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 And to think Redkrapp kept him on the bench in our relegation year
leithsaint Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 When I heard Sweden had scored, I joked that Svensson was the scorer. Brilliant. It seems like a lifetime ago that he was playing for Saints and here he is, still scoring meaningful goals on the international stage.
farawaysaint Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 And to think Redkrapp kept him on the bench in our relegation year My favourite player as well, I was livid
Edmonton Saint Posted 6 September, 2013 Posted 6 September, 2013 are you a odd stalker or are you svensk?? Ha.. little bit of both!.. I had a Swedish Grandmother, and English parents.. I was England all the way growing up but a combination of Le Tissier not being picked and a desire to be different, meant I started following Sweden in 94.. Haven't looked back since.... And after losing a bet in January, I have actuallu legally changed my name to Anders Svensson in recognition of one of the greatest talents in world football.. Have to admit, I have really enjoyed being called Anders Svensson, despite the funny looks you get from people from time to time...
