Few good ones on there. Have to put Chris Baird top of the pile, as he can play CB and RB, and we need that. Anton Ferdinand and maybe Luis Saha.

I'm sure some of them have officially retired by now. I call myself "unattached" too, not that anyone will come in for me.

Yep, probably the case for some of them, but surely they must at some point realise that it all they are going to get??

 

On that note didn't we try and sign Nicky Butt when he was a free agent when Pardew was here but he wanted £30k a week.

Agree, think some of them might get offers in the coming month or two from teams that suffer longterm injuries, which always happen unfortunately..

Sorry, but I just don't get this comment. As they are free agents, without a contract and a club, who is currently paying the wages of the out-of-work professional footballers?

 

Surely an income of say 10k p/week is better than an income as a free agent of 0k p/week?

I'd take Chris Baird for a year or two - good utility player. People talk about only signing players that will improve the squad, but if injuries hit you need versatile players like him.

As someone has said, being injured. He's also been coaching at Dumbarton I believe. I'm not sure he'll be back as a player, certainly at the top level.
