Yeah I can agree with what you're saying here and a good cup run is essentially a bonus for any club as it's unexpected income but at the start of the season they'd look at costs and decide a percentage of ticket sales goes to cover them. They wouldn't change the model just to be nice to fans, that's where they're earning the extra bonus in free cash from the extra fixtures.

It's a fine decision to be made. Reduce prices and encourage larger crowds or maintain a higher price and keep you profit margins up. Other considerations such as pleasing the fans or creating a good atmosphere that might help to propel the team into the next round are secondary these days. I'm afraid this is a business, not a club.

You're really not making much sense. They don't need to do it to be "nice to fans" they need it to reduce prices to get a reasonable amount of people through the gates.

More fans doesn't always mean more money for the club. What I'm trying to say if with all events like this they don't just pull a round figure and say let's charge that. If they lowered if by £8 would that many more people go? £8 for one person is hardly anything now. Wouldn't even get you a packet of Marlboro's finest.

Please, can you give us a template that we can all use?

If you have a point to make, make that point, say what you want, keep it professional.

Don't resort to ranting, don't find 5 ways to say the same thing, don't start using capitals.

Of course, you have to make sure your complaint isn't utterly ridiculous in the first place, so he was on to a loser immediately.

Thanks, that's better.

Slightly different scenario with me but simillar!

I along with my longstanding ST holder mate from Selsey went to Five aways plus West Brom this season thus fulfilling the criteria for Liverpool away tickets.

I went to SMS ticket office to purchase the Liverpool tickets only to be told my mate had only attended five games and was not entitled to a ticket for liverpool.

I argued the point that we had stood side by side on every away game of the six required and they told me it was an issue with the Spurs purchase last season online.

I was able to purchase up to 5 tickets every time i logged into my online account even though i should of only been able to have one per ST number. I only purchased the tickets for me and my mate but afterwards went to the club to point out what I had done and ask was it ok? The guy said it was a glitch in the system but the tickets would still be valid.

When I pointed out to the Ticket Office supervisor that it was a club system error that had caused this problem she refused to over ride the decision and refused me tickets for Liverpool.

I had not broken any rules and even when I realised I had two tickets on one ST number I notified the club with all good intentions only to have issues now with the club showing no common sense being able to overturn the decision despite the valid explaination!

In any other walk of life you stick two fingers up to the company treating you this way and say **** you ill go elsewhere! but as its football they know you cant!

SORT IT OUT TICKET OFFICE YOURE A JOKE!

Well F me! The website clearly states STs have a week or so to buy their tickets, so fresh back from holiday I ring in... only to be told MY seat is not available as it had already been sold! F me!

I told them very angrily how I felt and what they could do with their options and unfortunately my choice of language was not of the best. I'm not asking fir sympathy only to let other STs know the situation.

What The F is wrong with this club? What happened to loyalty to the many fans like me who stayed with them throughout the bad years watching all the useless tin pot friendlies and competitions they entered when grounds were nigh-on empty etc etc?

Oops, perhaps I'm in your seat :(

Look carefully, it doesn't promise you your own seat, just the opportunity to buy one. I went down to the TO last Thursday in order to buy my seat only to find that the whole stand is closed!

So you were not best pleased either. Maybe that's the explanation. Which parts of the ground will be open? I know from the past that that the corporate guests used to get priority on parts of the Itchen. I can't imagine it will attract more than 7/8k.

Yes, not happy. They told me the Itchen, a couple of blocks in the Chapel and a couple in the Northam. Of course, going on previous behaviour if all these sell out then they may well open up the Kingsland but I doubt that that will happen.

Has anyone on here got a kid who has a season ticket but doesn't do away games? If you could kindly provide me with their customer number, name and address then I would happily send you 20 quid. You would also have the privilege of your child having every away game for the rest of the season on their booking history.

Or perhaps you could, y'know, pay the going rate for once?

Quick question hopefully someone on here can answer for me. I have some family coming over from Spain in a few weeks and hoping to take them to a game, currently have a season ticket but surrounded by other ST holders. Wanting to move seats for one game to sit with them does anyone know if you can do that or do they charge you for it? Seem to remember doing this in previous years but can only see a £10 fee quoted for seat transfers which seemed to be more about at the end of season moving where your season ticket is. Cheers in advance!

I don't get why it's ridiculous.

Firstly it prevents fraud by ensuring only adult tickets are bought by adults.

Secondly it's fair. Your cousin shouldn't have more rights to an away ticket than someone who doesn't have an uncle with a ST. That may not be an issue away at 'Boro, but when we sell out, why should he /she have preference?

I'd ignore the bit about the "cousin", he wants the child's ticket for himself.
