studentsaint Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Callum McManaman! Exactly the kind of pacey winger we need. Was starting to really show what he could do before relegation.
DuncanRG Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 SSN just went into ads saying they'll be over to St Marys soon for 'any potential moves' - shots of Lee Barnard and Jack Cork.
DT Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 SSN just went into ads saying they'll be over to St Marys soon for 'any potential moves' - shots of Lee Barnard and Jack Cork. If we sell Jack Cork it is utter madness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
SuperSAINT Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 SSN just went into ads saying they'll be over to St Marys soon for 'any potential moves' - shots of Lee Barnard and Jack Cork. I think any Barnard move will be a loan with us paying a large % of his wages.
Window Cleaner Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 If we sell Jack Cork it is utter madness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free perhaps he's put in a written request, he can't be happy with the current situation now can he. From an undisputed starter to 4th choice is hard to assume.
northam soul Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 If we sell Jack Cork it is utter madness Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free Possibly, but all clubs at some point have to sell players for good money. We cannot keep spending and then only getting rid of the dross on loan or for peanuts.
buctootim Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Possibly, but all clubs at some point have to sell players for good money. We cannot keep spending and then only getting rid of the dross on loan or for peanuts. If we hadn't spent £12m on a player for a position where we were well covered the issue wouldn't have arisen.

DuncanRG Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Possibly, but all clubs at some point have to sell players for good money. We cannot keep spending and then only getting rid of the dross on loan or for peanuts. £3m has been quoted as the second bid from Fulham - we're not really talking about good money. SSN reporting from Staplewood now, expecting 'one final deal to complete the squad'. Sharp and Forte named as potential leavers, nothing in Cork deal.
Bewildered Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 bloke at staplewood on ssn just said one more deal today for saints
Matthew Le God Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 SSN expecting one incoming deal for Saints today.
SaintNeil90 Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 One more in according to Sky Sports reporter outside training ground
Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 £3m has been quoted as the second bid from Fulham - we're not really talking about good money. Hmmm, insulting and derisory.
Olallana Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Maybe the reporter just want a calm day and getting paid for it If he´s not expecting anything they move him to another place
SaintNeil90 Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Maybe the reporter just want a calm day and getting paid for it If he´s not expecting anything they move him to another place Except he has just said he expects on more in so this makes no sense
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 2 September, 2013 Author Posted 2 September, 2013 One more in according to Sky Sports reporter outside training ground I can't believe we're re-signing Neil McCann to fill that number 11 shirt. You wanted a winger, well they've delivered again (unlike McCann ever did). In all seriousness, any indication who this might be? Will we hold the news back for Nicky C's new BFF, Jim White, to deliver at fever pitch? We're Sky tipped off and that's why they've been hanging round SMS like a desperate WAG wannabe?.
pimpin4rizeal Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 One more in according to Sky Sports reporter outside training ground Hmmm wonder who it could be... Ever banega would cap a perfect transfer window

A few players out also. No mention of names or positions.
St.Patrik Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 IS Barnard still around then? He will leave today as well if he is then?
Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 All that was said was 'expecting one more in to complete the trio already signed. A few players out also. No mention of names or positions. Make of it what you will, but they did show footage of Lee Barnard in the car park.

DuncanRG Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 IS Barnard still around then? He will leave today as well if he is then? They had some dodgy shots from behind the trees of him getting out of his car before an ad break, but he wasn't named in the report.
SuperSAINT Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 SSN expecting one incoming deal for Saints today. Matches up with what Monk said earlier... Saints have put feeders out to three different clubs, if they respond we will pursue one target. Piatti/Ince are the only names I know. Movement out today.
Webby Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Chalobah and McEachran apparently allowed out on loan from Chelsea. Both midfielders though.
Saint Garrett Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Would be surprised if we bring in anyone else....
dubai_phil Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 How do we know the Sky Reporter hasn't smply read this thread and is passing on what Monk said?
Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 How do we know the Sky Reporter hasn't smply read this thread and is passing on what Monk said? How do we know the Sky reporter ISN'T Monk!?

Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Darn it. Beaten to the gag... Sorry mate. Ivan Katalinic's 'tache 0-1 Colinjb
dubai_phil Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 How do we know the Sky reporter ISN'T Monk!? Maybe he IS Monk.... No chance. Monk proved himself to have some idea of what was going on before he "resigned"
Colinjb Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 No chance. Monk proved himself to have some idea of what was going on before he "resigned" His exact word was 'retire.' And it seemed to be a less then permanent arrangement.
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 2 September, 2013 Author Posted 2 September, 2013 Sorry mate. Ivan Katalinic's 'tache 0-1 Colinjb See, that what happens when you work at home AND try to follow deadline day. I lost focus. Still, only 20 mins work time left and I can devote my time properly.

dubai_phil Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 James Pearce @Pearcesport 5m I'm told Mike Ashley let Cabaye listen to phone negotiations last week + he heard Arsenal say: "25 million a lot for a reserve" #moodchanger Hahahahaha
thorpie the sinner Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Peachy has spoken, no more ins from what he is hearing!! Saves the F5 ing
Bewildered Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Simon Peach @SimonPeach 2m Despite reports to the contrary, seems #SaintsFC will not be bringing anyone in on deadline day.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 I hope that, if we don't bring anyone in today, people still realise that it has been a great window from us. By miles our best ever and IMO would be easily in the top 5 of Prem clubs (relative to club size).
S-Clarke Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 I hope that, if we don't bring anyone in today, people still realise that it has been a great window from us. By miles our best ever and IMO would be easily in the top 5 of Prem clubs (relative to club size). Totally agreed.
egg Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 His exact word was 'retire.' And it seemed to be a less then permanent arrangement. I think he meant that he had "retired" for the night, not retired from future posting.
Dig Dig Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Contrary to reports, I understand and am told that #saintsfc might or might not be bringing anyone else in today.
Stevie61163 Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 no good adding players if you're afraid to drop Lambert so that you finish with a mish-mash of blokes out of position. It's either Osvaldo or Lambert but not both. If we add a wide man you'd have to drop Lallana or JWP but we don't seem willing to do that just now. I dont think that it is a question of being scared to drop SRL. I think that with the additions, MP has now got too many options and still does not really know what his best starting starting 11 is. Last year with a limited squad it was so much easier to have a regular starting 11 and apart from injuries that never changed. This season with the depth of squad we have finding you best 11 becomes a lot more difficult. I would be tempted to go back to last seasons starting 11 and then try to introduce the new signings as and when required. The obvious exception to this is Louvren who is head and shoulders above what we started with last season. Pablo and VW would have to wait for their opportunity and then hopefully grasp it with both hands. I do feel for Corkie in all of this and would like to revert back to Corkie and Spiderman in CM. I just hope that it is not too late. To keep this on topic I would welcome a playmaker/winger type to replace JP but that is all.
Saint Charlie Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Contrary to reports, I understand and am told that #saintsfc might or might not be bringing anyone else in today. Sounds right. The good deals done today are "great deadline business". The bad ones are "panic buys". Fun to be involved in the drama if possible, but much better to have got 3 quality players in earlier.
thorpie the sinner Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Contrary to reports, I understand and am told that #saintsfc might or might not be bringing anyone else in today. lol exactly
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 2 September, 2013 Author Posted 2 September, 2013 Simon Peach @SimonPeach 2m Despite reports to the contrary, seems #SaintsFC will not be bringing anyone in on deadline day. Eh? That's not the news we wanted. Need THEVMAN to clear this one up for us, on way or another, methinks.
lifeintheslowlane Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 Contrary to reports, I understand and am told that #saintsfc might or might not be bringing anyone else in today. Thanks for that...it means I might or might not bother to visit this thread again today.
LatvianTolix Posted 2 September, 2013 Posted 2 September, 2013 So is it true that Piatti has broken the leg??? or just general blabla???
