DuncanRG Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 When do the games take place? I'd like an away day if I'm back up north.
saints_is_the_south Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 When do the games take place? I'd like an away day if I'm back up north. W/C 23rd September.
CB Fry Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 what ever the draw, a few on here will respond with 'boring' ...presumably you are "not bothered" about who we face?
Batman Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 ...presumably you are "not bothered" about who we face? the easiest tie possible at home
S-Clarke Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 How utterly atrocious do Newcastle look this season? Shocking.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Its a lot shorter than us winning the league. Yes but it is not a "good" chance is it? It perhaps represents our best chance of success this season, but it is hardly one which we should be directing our focus in. If we got to the semi-final I can see personnel changing a bit however until then I think the club will be focussing on finishing as high up in the league as is possible.
teenagegsaint Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Swindon, Bristol City or Bournemouth away
Toomer Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 QUOTE=S-Clarke;1771540]How utterly atrocious do Newcastle look this season? Shocking. I see a big pay day for AP in the near future.
S-Clarke Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 I see a big pay day for AP in the near future. Same. He looks like he could be heading out of the door first at this rate........ Not sure what went so wrong after their top 5 finish.
Saint Garrett Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 How utterly atrocious do Newcastle look this season? Shocking. Pardew seems to have turned Newcastle into a real relegation side. Clueless, one dimensional, and don't look like scoring at all. Morecambe have run them ragged tonight.
aintforever Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Easy home game please, this is a comp we have a chance of winning.
Batman Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 That is one game on telly then. They play each other this weekend too
Colinjb Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 West Ham v Cardiff City Manchester City v Wigan Burnley v Nottingham Forest/Millwall
Saint Garrett Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Home tie Vs Bristol City - decent winnable game - just hope the club make it cheap enough to get in a decent crowd!
Minsk Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Home to Bristol City Very winnable. Happy with that.
Batman Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Great tie. Should be able to play a very rotated team and get through
Shroppie Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Home to Bristol City Simples. We will walk this cup.
Lallana's Left Peg Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 That is a great draw for us, a home tie and a chance to use the same squad that beat Barnsley.
Colinjb Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Other games: West Brom v Arsenal Swindon v Chelsea Tranmere v Stoke Watford v Norwich Aston Villa v Tottenham Hull v Huddersfield Leicester v Derby Birmingham City v Swansea Fulham v Everton/Stevenage
Batman Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Good host of good teams will be knocked out next round. Just need more luck in the draws and we can get far
Saint Garrett Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Enables us to play loads of the kids too. Sweet.
qwertySFC Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 SRL will get a nice reception then if he plays
stevegrant Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 4 all-Premier League ties, will be a fifth if Everton get past Stevenage.
S-Clarke Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Good tie, and even better in that there are loads of prem teams facing eachother. The path could be made a hell of a lot easier...
shurlock Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Did the double over us -very few clubs have managed that in the last few years.
alehouseboys Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Should pull in a decent crowd to see the youngsters, Brizzle will bring 3k+.
Turkish Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Did the double over us -very few clubs have managed that in the last few years. They are in good company with Man United and Leicester.
Batman Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Should pull in a decent crowd to see the youngsters, Brizzle will bring 3k+. Bet they don't
itchen_dan Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Get through that tie and the next round could look pretty good. Potential for LOTS of all Prem ties. My prediction on teams to get through: Man Utd Posh West Ham Man City Nottm Forest SAINTS Arsenal Chelsea Stoke Watford Spurs Hull Leicester Swansea Fulham
Glasgow_Saint Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Bristol City beat Premier League Crystal Palace to reach the third round of the League Cup for the first time in 10 years.
Dr Who? Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Fulham away would be perfect for me. Sorry, but we are beating them in the final.
Saint-Fred Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Get through that tie and the next round could look pretty good. Potential for LOTS of all Prem ties. My prediction on teams to get through: Man Utd Posh West Ham Man City Nottm Forest SAINTS Arsenal Chelsea Stoke Watford Spurs Hull Leicester Swansea Fulham Newcastle v leeds?
Saint Fan CaM Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Nice easy win. May as well of given us a bye Regrettable?
Barry Sanchez Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 It does not get much better than that for a chance to progress, lets hope we take it.
Chewy Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Great draw, but could be as many as 13 or 14 premier league sides in the last 16. Very happy but a bit early to get too excited. Need a few upsets to help clear the way.
Barry Sanchez Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 Get through that tie and the next round could look pretty good. Potential for LOTS of all Prem ties. My prediction on teams to get through: Man Utd Posh West Ham Man City Nottm Forest SAINTS Arsenal Chelsea Stoke Watford Spurs Hull Leicester Swansea Fulham It will be a terrible 1/4 final.....................
The9 Posted 28 August, 2013 Posted 28 August, 2013 The worst team left in the competition at St Mary's. Not sure why any Saints fan would want anything else. Good chance of winning this cup, so the easier the route to the final the better. I'd like us to play the nearest team to St Mary's whose ground I haven't already been to, not sure why any Saints fan would want anything else. I couldn't give a toss about us possibly winning it until we get to the QFs, and this year it's pretty clear everyone's had the same idea, so last season's Final will probably be replaced by a Manchester/London top 6 Prem team clash.
