saintrich Posted 7 December, 2008 Posted 7 December, 2008 Just got Mobile Broadband and inserted the USB modem for it, but it asks me to 'browse for driver software on your computer' or else the device won't funtion. It says to insert CD (the CD says only use for Macs though) or search through my computer... I am stuck :-| Any help would be appreciated.
red&white4life Posted 7 December, 2008 Posted 7 December, 2008 My experience when using our 3G was that all the relevent "data" was on the dongle. Suggest you allow it to browse for driver software, though i would advise letting this thread run for a few days incase someone else has a more in depth knowledge. It was all pretty simple when i installes ours. Col,

Mine was the same as above, the drivers were on the dongle which has a small flash drive as well as the modem. This was with o2. If not, I would suggest you google search for drivers using the make/model of the modem, most drivers can be located with a little bit of searching.
Mewsta Posted 15 December, 2008 Posted 15 December, 2008 You can usually download the PC version of the drivers from the providers websites etc etc.... from previous issues here is the vodafone driver download page... http://www.business.vodafone.com/site/bus/public/enuk/support/10_productsupport/laptop_connectivity/40_software/software/05_summary/p_summary.jsp
