Ok this is a long shot.............been away on holiday and was unable to get a ticket. Has anyone got one? I live in Cheshire and if necessary will try and get one in home end but if anyone has one............?

don't doubt that you'll just be able to turn up and stroll in, well after you've paid that is anyway. Bangkok in Cheshire now is it?

I think you are probably right. Once apron a time I was in Bangkok. Unfortunately now I live in the soggy NW. Oh to come home to the south one day................

I messaged someone from the club on twitter and he said he was almost certain you would be able to pay on the gate for this one unless we sell out which is highly unlikely. I'm turning up without a ticket for it

We can have up to 5000, we will be lucky to have 500 there. Will 100 percent be able to pay on the gate, couple of the lads were going with are.

I don't know why they haven't put it on the OS yet but I've just called the club and we've just sold our allocation of 5,000 out. Could have sold it out a bit sooner than the day of the game but half decent support nonetheless. I urge any Saints that were going to pay on the day not to travel unless you want to sit in the home end.

I can't really believe that we've sold 5000 for Barnsley away on a tuesday night, really I can't.

Tickets for this match remain on general sale. You can buy yours at Oakwell right up until kick-off at 7.45pm this evening.

My *guess* is that the poster having some fun was referring to the fact that people were actually asking if tickets would be available when it is pretty damned obvious they will be. This fixture has no chance of selling out in either the home end or the away end IMO. The fact that people were asking encouraged the contributor to poke some fun at the very suggestion and those asking.

 

I could be wide of the mark and it could indeed be an in-joke that I have missed somewhere.

if you can't see his post was a wind up and actually beleived we may have sold 5000 tickets for Barnsley on a Tuesday night in the Capital One Cup then yes you are so far out of touch it's difficult to beleive you have any awareness of what it's like going to saints away games
