probably get a wild card and come up against the Iggles in the first round of the play offs.

No problem, just play the game in Philly in a raging blizzard and the Iggles will skate through. Just saying, but Shady McCoy looks a walk up start for 'Disney on ice', having just blown away the late, great Steve Van Buren's 1949 Eagles record for yards rushed, in a game played in 8 inches of snow!

Yes, I watched the game, we looked a bit iffy in the first half though, don't think we achieved positive yards for about the first 20 minutes.

Yeah, around six minutes to play third Q I don't think we had anything (field goals not viable in this game), but then it all clicked and the Iggles looked more like the Flyers from then on! Think it would have been a new NFL record for points scored in a quarter if Brent Celek had walked over the line for a final TD, but he slid short just to run down the clock and make sure of victory. That's five in a row for the surging Eagles and the Cowgirls lost at a frigid Chicago overnight, so all good news really. Win the last three and progress as division champs! Chip Kelly doing a great job with this team and Nick Foles playing like a winner.

Pats looked like genuine challengers to the Broncos until Gronk went down, so Cinci is arguably the only genuine threat in the AFC. The Chiefs have had softish schedule -the NFC East is the gift that keeps on giving- and look vulnerable against the pass, even with a full strength D; while this season's Texans, Ravens and Colts is hardly vintage. Been impressed by McCoy at the Chargers but the playoffs have perhaps come a season too early.

Cant see anyone getting past the Seahawks in the NFC especially if they have home advantage throughout the playoffs. The Colts showed how to beat the Broncos -aggressive man coverage- and if there's any team that can replicate that gameplan, its the Seahawks.

Very poor result for the Eagles yesterday, fortunately the Cowboys lost in the last minutes of their game as well so the division is still winnable. Didn't think much of Foles (or the secondary) yesterday, Foles is so hit and miss at times. Still rather have MV7 myself.

Think Vick has probably played his last game in midnight green TBH. Will be surprised if Foles is not the starter next year, but he is young and not the finished article yet. The Iggs and Dallas appear in a race to see who can throw away a finals spot first. That was a poor result at Vikes, they seemed to stuff up everything possible and ended up fighting among themselves, although with DJax that's almost normal. Next week v. Bears is a must win and then a probable winner take all in Dallas. Hope they learnt the lessons from yesterday, perhaps need some artificial snow at the Linc for next week ...

The NFC North is quite interesting with only one team able to qualify from the Bears, Packers and Lions. The latter narrowly lost at home to the Ravens last night throwing the group wide open with the winner likely to come from the last game - Bears vs Packers. I'm rooting for the Packers as it's my son's team but (even with Rogers back) they're unlikely to last too far into the playoffs, if they make it.

Eagles will win what is a garbage division, though their wins against the Cardinals and Bears were impressive statements. They will be too much for a battered and bruised Cowboy D, especially with Sean Lee out again and a Romo-less O. Orton is a decent game manager but isn't as talented as Foles.

Can't see the Ravens beating the bengals or the Jets doing us a favour. And frankly the Ravens don't deserve to be in the playoffs - releasing Boldin still ranks a monumental cockup given what was needed to restructure his contract.

Otherwise, hope the Bears beat the Packers. If only football managers spoke as eruditely and candidly as Marc Trestman about tactics and decisions made during games.

Eagles should win but they were lamentably bad against the Boys last time and have off days often enough, like the Vikings game. I expect them to win but it wouldn't actually surprise me if they didn't.

Well, they did win and are NFC East champs and play NO at the Linc next saturday night at 8.10pm local time. But it was close, even though the Eagles were never headed. Dallas kept on coming and inside the two minute warning with the score at 24-22 they were driving to get within field goal range and you could just see them kicking it with seconds left and winning it at the death ... when up stepped Brandon Boykin to pick off Orton and win the game for the Iggles .. Yeah! Kudos also to Cary Williams for his textbook spoil on the two point conversion attempt which would have tied the scores. That was just THE most intense game with so much on the line and such an emotional rollercoaster for fans of both teams, but from a Philly perspective there is a very perverse joy in being crowned Div champs in that particular city!

For the Packers - 49ers playoff game in Minneapolis this weekend the MAX temperature is -22c with wind chill of -35 to -50

http://www.google.or...l=GB&source=web

Should be an interesting game to watch, suggesting it could be the coldest NFL game in history, even colder than the ice bowl

why aren't they playing at Lambeau Field then ? That's in Green Bay Wisconsin not Minneapolis, don't think it's far (apparently 280 miles) but then again i'm not at all sure that Vikings Stadium in Minneapolis isn't a covered dome.

Yep the game in Green Bay should be good TV. It's due to reach a HIGH of -21 cent that day (so colder than that come game time & that's not including wind chill):

It's mingingly cold here at the mo in Indiana. It's worse up there. That is going to be nasty. I hope to see lots of frozen, gutted Packer fans come the end of the game.

IND, NO, CIN & SF for me.

Chiefs vs. Colts was one of the most insane games I have ever seen. Colts down and out but manage to stage an impressive comeback. It all comes down to a final Alex Smith throw to get into field goal distance, and the receiver manages a rather good catch... but he was out of bounds; victory for Colts! :D

Can't stand the luck love-in.

No way would have the chiefs lost that had Charles, Houston, Avery and Flowers -just to name a few- not got injured.
