Does Lallana not fail to deliver too much of the time? Think he should have stayed on today and JRod off instead. Both had poor games but at least Lallana was involved in the game.

first half it could've been Gaston or Adam as no difference in performance or end product, 2nd half Adam seemed to have more time and more space and was surprised he went off then, I would've subbed him at 1/2 time to be honest.

 

They are both frustrating, and if Adam had a 12mill price tag he'd get far more stick I think the next position to upgrade on may well be Adam's and Gaston's.

Lallana did a lot of running, not a lot of tackling, not a lot of shooting and still he will try to walk the ball in the net. I think he does not want to get his boots or kit dirty

Still no one gives him much praise ! First half quiet but second half excellent. Skills were brilliant and unlucky with the volley. Even improved end product in second half. To say him and gaston's place needs upgrading next is laughable. Too great talents

Looked much better today. Technically he really has it, it just end product! Ramirez looked very good too, I think would rather see those two starting for sure ahead of Rodriguez.

Lallana played much better second half, best for years. Unlucky today as he was better than the awful j rod. Gaston was a class above.

I think that might have been the " normal " case, but Jay Rod would have been " a bit miffed " at having his goal ruled out and wanted more and it was right to give it to him.

 

Gaston is not worse than Lallana, who put in quite an effort in the first half, and you have to give £12 million signing a bit of playing time.....

....and being a goal down at HT, it wasa good move to have a extra man up.

 

Rickie might have scored a couple of another day, but their goalie kept his shots out and generally did well in the game.

 

Admittedly, a surprise that a forward didn't score, but good for Fonte's confidence as there is a lot of competition at the back just now.

Maybe but he doesn't often play as well as he did today. Seems to blow very hot and cold to my reckoning.

 

Never seemed very happy here but perhaps the presence of Osvaldo has perked him up a bit, like he doesn't really rate the other front runners around him but now he can see that we're serious about bringing in super talents and he's scared of being shown up?
