Norm Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Type Barnsley vs Southampton into Google and there are pages of live streaming but doubt any work. Only the one I posted seems to link up correctly but will they work we shall only know at the time. Radio commentaries are free for Carling and FA Cup games. Thank you, Art.
trousers Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Looks like we're in black shorts (and shirts) tonight...
dubai_phil Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 They have a 41 year old keeper on debut playing 1st game in ages - SHOOOOOOOOT
Ohio Saint Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Looks like we're in black shorts (and shirts) tonight... Nope!! I'm in blue shorts and a black shirt........Also going commando for the real fashionistas out there.
The Kraken Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Looks like we're in black shorts (and shirts) tonight... Well that's an improvement from last season's idiotic decision to stick so rigidly to an away kit template. Now if we could just incorporate those black shorts into the home kit.....
for_heaven's_Saint Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Guly seems to be hugely out of favour if not injured. Have heard on the grapevine that he may be going on loan to Bristol City. No idea if it's a reliable source.
bender Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 9 changes according to SSN. Be mightily p1ssed off if we mug this competition off. A great chance to get to Wembley for a half decent team like us.
CB Fry Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Actually looks like Saints. Can't be having that Nicola.
david in sweden Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 They have a 41 year old keeper on debut playing 1st game in ages - SHOOOOOOOOT ooh:scared: old memories say facing a goalie..... making his debut - not good news.
Minsk Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Quite surprised to see Fonte being put in there; and especially no Hooiveld in the squad. The latter leads to the former, I guess. And echo the Guly comments; most odd. I did notice that on Saturday he was sat outside the players' box fiddling with his phone for most of the game and looking disinterested. Understandable really. A decent line-up though, and hopefully the young-uns can get a decent run out. Might also be an opportunity to try Rodrigues in a slightly different and more central role than he gets in the first team. I think JRod will play his usual position on the left of the three. I expect Mayuka will be up front, Isgrove right and Gaston in his number 10 role. Decent starting 11, nothing much on the bench. JWP a good option, obviously, and maybe Rowe will be given some game time.
david in sweden Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 according to Sky..... KD. Clyne- Fonte -Yoshida- Fox Cork - Steven Davis-Isgrove -Ramirez Rodrigues- Mayuka no subs named yet.
The Kraken Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Actually looks like Saints. Can't be having that Nicola. It comes to something when a shonky training kit looks ten times better than the actual match kit.
dubai_phil Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 My word it's been bloody AGES since I've sat at the laptop wondering whether my Saints player is up to date. Still, after a run to the Hole in the Wall last week I am Soooooooo spoiled for choice tonight. Old Thumper? London Pride? Pedigree? Or maybe an OSH? Hmm decisions decisions
Norm Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Anyone tried any of the links provided by Art yet? I can't get any to work but I confess (hope noboby reads this) to being bl&&dy clueless on matters computing.

VectisSaint Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 They have a 41 year old keeper on debut playing 1st game in ages - SHOOOOOOOOT Mike Pollitt, over 500 league appearances for various clubs, including 36 for Wigan. Might be 41 but hardly lacking in experience.
Chewy Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 A few selection dilemnas, don't want to overplay the youngsters, so no chambers, shaw or ward-prowse; don't want to risk injuries, so shaw (again) and spider would sit out as they came off on Saturday? And maybe Clyne still isn't fully fit; want to give confidence to forwards, but don't want to tire out next weekends side. I think lallana, lambert and osvaldo will play Saturday so I'd rest them. Can't see an issue with tiredness amongst the keeper and centre backs, but want to give maya some game time. With that in mind I'd go for boruc, maya, hooiveld, Fonte, fox, Davis, cork, mayuka, Ramirez, isgrove, j rod. I'd have Clyne, wanyama, osvaldo and lallana on the bench. And gazzaniga, lambert and maybe targett. Ok, so keeper and one defender wrong, but the rest of the starting team was spot on surprised there isn't more experience on the bench as an insurance policy but should be enough, and no guly anywhere? Coys
Mattio Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 SSN implying that were not taking the cup seriously, surely that team will be more than enough to win? All those players want to be in the starting XI Sent from my HTC EVO 3D X515m using Tapatalk 2
Norm Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 I'd imagine that if they do work' date=' they won't start until right before kick off.[/quote'] I thank you!
The Kraken Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 I think JRod will play his usual position on the left of the three. I expect Mayuka will be up front, Isgrove right and Gaston in his number 10 role. I think you're right; which IMO doesn't really bode all that well for JRod, its a little bit of a demotion of sorts. Few other options though, I suppose (especially with the departure of Puncheon).
ericofarabia Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Nope!! I'm in blue shorts and a black shirt........Also going commando for the real fashionistas out there. Baird of the land Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 Guly is the only surprise from that 11 really. The question is, is he also injured or is he off?
Ohio Saint Posted 27 August, 2013 Posted 27 August, 2013 OK, I can't find a stream, so I'm looking forward to descriptions of beer, pics of nuns and trolly dollies from those farking Arabs.
