DuncanRG Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 His name is Memphis? If he signs I'm sure we can roll him into a rock n roll chant for Osvaldo...

stug76 Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Monk said we were going to spend another 8 million..... Interesting! Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 4
jamesfp1 Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Looks very skillful. Would be very excited about this if true but if it's from footy rumours then it's 99% ********.
Lighthouse Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Sounds like a USAF WW2 bomber. However if this is from Football Rumours it might as well have been written on a cows arse with a marker pen.
hypochondriac Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Ok so the song is sorted then Shame you had to use the cher version though.
dubai_phil Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Shame you had to use the cher version though. Well it was either that or 200 versions from X Factor or Idol. Hey it's 3am I've been on the Ale - did well to even find her let alone the link button!
dubai_phil Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Oh alright then. BUT The Northam HAVE to sing it THIS well http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=KK5YGWS5H84
saint_ed Posted 23 August, 2013 Posted 23 August, 2013 Monk said we were going to spend another 8 million..... Interesting! Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 4 Where?
Plonko Posted 23 August, 2013 Posted 23 August, 2013 Nothing more is going to happen according to this article. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23798142
oldskoolsi Posted 23 August, 2013 Posted 23 August, 2013 I think some version of Mott the Hoople's All the Way from Memphis would be much better as a song for him. It sounds much more football chant friendly. For this reason he must be signed.
Dig Dig Posted 23 August, 2013 Posted 23 August, 2013 Would go for Tom Ince myself. Over a player you know nothing about. He could be better than Tom Ince.....then what?
Barry Sanchez Posted 23 August, 2013 Author Posted 23 August, 2013 You dont know me, would you sign me?
beavis17 Posted 23 August, 2013 Posted 23 August, 2013 Richard Ensten @RichardEnsten 8m All set for the match tomorrow. Currently thinking up songs to suggest to be played pre-match. #saintsfc #WalkingInMemphis Hmm...
Barry Sanchez Posted 23 August, 2013 Author Posted 23 August, 2013 When you all say to your mates tonight at the bingo, skittles or horse trading this evening I know you are going to say you have an insider on the old knowledge, old Bazza whilst living it up painting the bedroom will smile contently to himself............................
mcbendy Posted 23 August, 2013 Posted 23 August, 2013 Richard Ensten @RichardEnsten 8m All set for the match tomorrow. Currently thinking up songs to suggest to be played pre-match. #saintsfc #WalkingInMemphis Hmm... That is VERY interesting...

goneawol Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Koeman reveals failed Southampton move for Depay http://www.football-oranje.com/koeman-reveals-failed-southampton-move-for-depay/
Smirking_Saint Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Exactly what we need, Id love us to sign him
nta786 Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 "Depay is one of Netherlands biggest young talents and after impressing at the World Cup last summer, the winger was linked with a number of clubs before eventually deciding to sign a new deal with PSV. Speaking to the Metro, Erwin Koeman revealed Southampton made a move for the 20-year-old, but were left disappointed when he decided to stay in Netherlands. Koeman said, “We informed our interest to his agent.” “With his style he would fit well in England. Memphis is fast, focused and physically strong. Southampton would have been an excellent springboard for him to the very top of the Premier League. Here he would have had time to get used to the level and would have had two Dutch coaches who have great confidence in him, but he chose to stay at PSV. “A big shame for us, but also for him. ” *sigh* Even Erwin sees us as a feeder club here.
CB Fry Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 This stuff is only disgraceful tapping up that the authorities should be doing something about etc when it's other clubs doing it, right?
Whitey Grandad Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 This stuff is only disgraceful tapping up that the authorities should be doing something about etc when it's other clubs doing it, right? Unless it is done through the official channels, of course.
Pierre Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Will cost a lot more than the 8 mln quoted at the start of the thread. He really is the hottest prospect in Dutch football

Welcome to Football. That's all we are, as harsh as that is to accept. The reality is that our top players will always move on for better. If we manage to secure a potential top player, it will always be with a view to developing him and if he does well - he will springboard to a bigger club. Not really negative, more just realism. Unless we have a zillionaire backer, this is how it will stay. Same for Swansea, Newcastle, Everton, WHU and all the other sides outside of the elite. In theory, we'd all be used as a stepping stone for most players if they do well.
Batman Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 can we change the title of the thread to add 'speculation'?
CB Fry Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Unless it is done through the official channels, of course. Blabbing off to a Dutch newspaper qualifies as official channels so probably fine.
Saint-Armstrong Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 can we change the title of the thread to add 'speculation'? You got a thing for that word now, then?
cellone Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 You got a thing for that word now, then? Now he understands the meaning.
jimmysaint7 Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 I take it we went for mane as a alternative
Saint Garrett Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 I take it we went for mane as a alternative My thought....what a shame.
Saint 76er Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Will cost a lot more than the 8 mln quoted at the start of the thread. He really is the hottest prospect in Dutch football Indeed, someone will have Depay a lot if they want to sign Memphis, that's for sure ...
goneawol Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Indeed, someone will have Depay a lot if they want to sign Memphis, that's for sure ... I was going to post the link in a new thread titled Nothing Depay, but I decided to save it for when Decee Cornish cancels his half-time storytelling gig
Saint IQ Posted 7 December, 2014 Posted 7 December, 2014 Guess he was one of the first choice wingers before we got in Mane last minute. Depay is class would of been brilliant if we had pulled that off http://www.football-oranje.com/koeman-reveals-failed-southampton-move-for-depay/?
