Not sure how this "Asian Betting Partner" thing will work. (Possible new sponsors for next season maybe)

Sour Mash Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 How does Asian betting differ to European betting?
adrian lord Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 (edited) How does Asian betting differ to European betting? lots of fixing expect floodlight failures, funny mistimed throw ins, balls inexplicably hoofed out.... Edited 21 August, 2013 by adrian lord
Colinjb Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 They were already a sponsor from my recollection of the animated sponsor hoardings last season. It was rumoured before aap3 signed up as title sponsor that an 'asian betting company' had actually offered more money for the contract too... may be wrong there.
Griffo Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 What a load of w*nk. Soon we'll have Asian sponsorship partners for toilet cleaning at St Mary's. Pathetic.

RedAndWhite91 Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Can't help but think a) Why do we need an Asian Betting Partner? b) Why does this warrant an article on the OS?
The Kraken Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Can't help but think a) Why do we need an Asian Betting Partner? b) Why does this warrant an article on the OS? Money. The top clubs have got all sorts of official partners; Manchester United have Yanmar as their "official diesel engine partner". Its all about creating an illusion of exclusivity; so clubs will only have one official brand per industry sector.
malcolm waldron Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Can't help but think a) Why do we need an Asian Betting Partner? b) Why does this warrant an article on the OS? FFS - dont people realise how far we've come. Three years ago we didn't even have a betting partner - let alone an Asian one. Now we've got one, and not just any Asian partner - but SBOBBOT or whatever they're called. If anything signals how far we've come in the last 18 months it's this announcement - FFS.........
Hatch Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 If i was going to chose an asian betting partner it would have been them . One less thing to worry about.

But I guess if it makes the most £££, then that's what clubs care about. FFS - dont people realise how far we've come. Three years ago we didn't even have a betting partner - let alone an Asian one. CB Fry Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 How does Asian betting differ to European betting? All betting slips are plain red. All betting shops have red interiors. All Asian betting companies have red logos on a red background.
dubai_phil Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 I live in Asia. I am not allowed to use SBOBET so how can they be our ASIAN Betting Partner Cortese OUT FFS
dubai_phil Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Taking this forward one step. Who will be our Exclusive Airline Partner? Who will be Osvaldo's Glasses Partner? Our Official Hot Flask and Woolly Blanket provider for the Itchen? Maybe Turks can comment on our Official Fashion Partner? Will Ann Summers really come out with an official range of Dani toys for the Woman in your life?... Oh the list could be endless.........
dubai_phil Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Our official EU Anti-Depressant Medication Partner. Will the WWF really open the Official Monkey Chicken Petting Zoo in every nation?
old_southy Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Can't wait to see Guly and co on the front of Mister Potato!
Scummer Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Can't wait to see Guly and co on the front of Mister Potato! To be fair, that's Rooney's own brand.
krissyboy31 Posted 22 August, 2013 Posted 22 August, 2013 Would Markus approve of us having an "official betting partner" Asian or not?
