There are some free places if you are sneaky but generally you can't rely on them. A safe bet is to park at Asda and walk down. It is not too expensive (under £5) and a fairly straight walk down to the ground.

Loads of parking the other side of the Northam Bridge and it's all free. Quayside Road or in the industrial park. Quick exit out of town if you are heading back to the M27. Only downside is that it's about a 10 - 15 min walk.

There's signs warning of clamping in there, £125 (I think) release fee.

I haven't parked on the industrial park for a while so there may be some there. Quayside road is always ok though, I live there now and always see a few people using spaces here.

Aren't there time restrictions there on matchdays?

Thanks for the replies guys, im thinking asda is probably the best bet,as like tokyo-saint said, its fairly straight forward getting to the ground from there, plus i can nip in kfc enroute for a bite to eat lol.

Walk up the steps to the bus stop, and get a bus straight to the ground.

College Street always used to work for me. No more then £5 and ten minute walk to the stadium after crossing the railway bridge. Now I just park at Dad's in Winchester and make a day of it on Public Transport so no need to try it anymore.

The small outdoor car park next to Charlotte Place NCP. 10 minute walk to stadium. £5. Need to get there at least 2 hours before kick off though as gets full quite early.

I park here, or in the mosque. Only a £5 and a dead easy walk. Takes a bloody age to get out though. Could ideally find somewhere that will get me back on the motorway quicker for my 3 hour drive home :(

hey guys, just a quickie,

Wheres the best/cheapest place to park on match days..ideally not too far away from the stadium?

Ocean Village or West Quay.

Ocean Village is fine if you are going out over the Itchen Bridge but not if you're in from the west. Bonus at Ocean Village is cheap beer at Wetherspoon's.

There is great parking next to Coalporters Rowing Club only a fiver a game and if you are heading Hedge End direction towards the Motorway you have avoided the traffic lights.
