ashleyb5443 Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 I've been like a little kid waiting for Christmas with this football season starting. Saturday is going to be electric!! I've seen a couple of new songs going around on the forum here but had a thought when saw Celtic singing that Wanyama song. Has anyone ever tried taking a Drum to St Marys before? Do you think it would work or if something extra is needed? We need something to drown out our neighbor with the bell.....mind you, we've got a good 5 years practice. Verbal Kint Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 Musical instruments do not belong at football grounds. The only fans that have them are ones that are incapable of creating an atmosphere by themselves
Appy Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 I couldn't think of anything worse than a drum at St Marys.
Turkish Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 I'm going to the game dressed as Roman Centurian to honour our new signing. I'm also going to stand at the side of the pitch waving ice creams and signing La Sole Mio at Daniel everytime he comes near the touchline. I hope he's a sub so when he's warming up he'll see me and realise how much we all love him.

gammon cheeks Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 I couldn't think of anything worse than a drum at St Marys. Have to disagree on that one. Saw a Glasgow Rangers game last season and they had a drum and it was non stop singing......it was great to be honest.

Do not bring a drum to SMS or any other musical instruments for that matter.
Saint Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 I would really like it if the crowd shouted the surname of the goalscorer after the pitch announcer has said the first name. I know they do it at Barca, PSG and Arsenal plus loads more I expect. I think it sounds really effective. PSG do it for Cavani in this video. Tokyo-Saint Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 Terrible idea, used by such no mark teams as MK Dons, the skates, Leicester and The England band.
SuperMikey Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 I think that's a great idea, maybe we can be more like Wigan if we have a drum!
Saint_clark Posted 19 August, 2013 Share Posted 19 August, 2013 Our atmosphere is one of the best in the league already, no need to change anything.
ashleyb5443 Posted 19 August, 2013 Author Share Posted 19 August, 2013 Don't worry I certainly wouldn't bring...just wanted to see if anyone ever has before. See a lot if northern teams usually carry instruments with them. Saying we have the best atmosphere in league is very questionable. You can hear a pin drop some weeks in the Northam. Over run by teenagers now. That's not a bad thing but not the best to get everyone going. Block 39 on the corner seems to be the loudest since league 1.
