hypochondriac Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 not fussed about Sinclair, if he ain't good enough for Citeh he's probably not good enough for us. Pretty stupid comment.
Monk Posted 19 August, 2013 Author Posted 19 August, 2013 Apparently its highly unlikely any more movement. Only if the deal suits us. Am told its not Sinclair, got that wrong!
dubai_phil Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Apparently I What a horrid time to run out of Band Width...
DG Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 David Lynch school of posting Edit - ahh it's all there now.

saintnick Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Apparently its highly unlikely any more movement. Only if the deal suits us. Am told its not Sinclair, got that wrong! Maybe NC and MP think the deal is not worth it.
de-fence Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Really hope we don't sign any more midfield or forward players. Our squad is fine in those positions. Signing more is just going to alienate the players we already have. A friend of mine at work went to school with Jack Cork and is still good friends with a lot of his friends. He said he heard the signing of Wanyama has made Jack feel a bit pushed out and is now reconsidering his options. May of course not be true but it makes you think. We should protect our existing players.

We should protect our existing players. Bit of a poor attitude if that's the case. It's now up to him to step up and prove that he still has a massive role to play. Squads will always evolve, whichever club you're at, it's just up to you to keep forcing your way back in. If I'm honest, I don't think he's the sort of player to react like that. I hope he's knuckling down to try and win his place back.
Spudders Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Have you had a bad day? Was thinking the same as I read through this thread hopefully Hypo will get an early night tonight & be back to his normal self in the morning
S-Clarke Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Expect Sinclair So, to your understanding, we've now decided to push ahead with this quite quickly? Do you know if it will be a loan or an outright buy? Hope you're enjoying your retirement....
Sheaf Saint Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Expect Sinclair OOooh you little tease. You said don't expect sinclair only a couple of days ago. However, the release of JP to Palace would seem to make sense if we are bringing someone else in.

The club planning to recruit a winger would account for the No.11 shirt.

Olallana Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 This isn't made up lazy journalism from the gutter then? Funny that. Are you comparing articles about a player that 5 weeks ago signed a new 5-year deal with his club to articles about a player that wants out from his club and where the club wants to get rid? Yeah that´s the same, isn´t it.......
Professor Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 This isn't made up lazy journalism from the gutter then? Funny that. Calm down dear. I'm not telling you to believe it, just sharing information. The difference between this and the Shaw story should be obvious, that Sinclair is already committed to leaving Man City, so these stories, true or not, will not be undermining either the player or the club. Do hope that isn't too complicated.
shirleysfc Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 This isn't made up lazy journalism from the gutter then? Funny that. You're not as good as Turkish at this.
pap Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Don't be too hard on CB Fry. He's coming out of a bad time. Eight months ago, he believed that Stoke City were the club we should be emulating. I look at them now, proudly guided by managerial behemoth Mark Hughes and wonder what could have been. I'm sure CB Fry does too. Go easy, boys and girls.
trousers Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Expect Sinclair Hours? Days? Deadline day? Thank you kindly

Olallana Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/scott-sinclair/next-club Omg, wish I could place a bet there
Monk Posted 21 August, 2013 Author Posted 21 August, 2013 Sinclair, we are only pursuing if the deal is right. I'm not expecting us to rush this one, may be our deadline day swoop.

trousers Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 http://www.oddschecker.com/football/football-specials/scott-sinclair/next-club Just gone down from 25-1 to 3-1 in the time it took me to register! Bum....
ChudSaint Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Just gone down from 25-1 to 3-1 in the time it took me to register! Bum.... Same here, just about to lump my mortgage on in..
goneawol Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Omg, wish I could place a bet there 3-1 now, didn't think the 25s would last long
Bartosz Bialkowski Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 3-1 now, didn't think the 25s would last long I got offered 10/1 when putting through £100 @ 25/1...... First time I had used the site so I thought it messed up. by the time I went through again the "market" wasn't available!! damn my greed
Weston Saint Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 The problem with Sinclair is going to be wages. Looks like Man City were prepared to loan him to WBA with a commitment they would buy after. I would imagine the "on our terms" is that he will have to take a substantial drop and we will buy him outright now. The £5m price tag does not look like a problem. For those reasons I agree with Monk, this will go down to the wire unless WBA agree to the commitment.
trousers Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Got 20/1 earlier in the summer $$$$$ That should go some way to offsetting your losses on Osvaldo....
shurlock Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Got 20/1 earlier in the summer $$$$$ Maybe you'll just about break even after the s**t load you lost on Osvaldo then...
Big Bad Bob Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Got 20/1 earlier in the summer $$$$$ Thought betting was illegal in the states??
Olallana Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Got 20/1 earlier in the summer $$$$$ That´s awful betting from you, he was 25/1 an hour ago!!
The Commodore Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 on BBC sport rumours pager from Mirror: http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-transfers-scott-sinclair-2193300? saints in for Sinclair as WBA dither over loan move. Makes sense with Punch having moved on. £5 million proposed. Is this Monk's last statement of one more being confirmed?
Smirking_Saint Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Clearly behind the times buddy... Nah Hypo that was from the mirror....... Ill get my coat

Isla Wight Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Monk is without doubt the best I T K poster
Glasgow_Saint Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Thought this needs its own thread due to increasing links + Puncheon leaving http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-city-transfers-scott-sinclair-2193300
jasonb Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Monk is without doubt the best I T K poster Has thevman lost some credibility recently? I must of missed that.

percy windham Posted 21 August, 2013 Posted 21 August, 2013 Do you think this is likely to go through G.S(Glasgow_Saint)? I've been waiting for your confirmation of our interest for a while. Love P.W (Percy Wondham).
