Ewell Posted 17 August, 2013 Share Posted 17 August, 2013 Not for winning against a team we lost to twice last season. Not for winning on the opening day of the season which we have only managed to do once in 14 years before today. No I am very proud because we are bucking the trend by fielding 4 home grown English players produced in our Academy for our first team. It takes some guts to do that especially when 3 of them are just 18 years old. Hats off to Mauricio Pochettino for having the balls to play them and to Nicola Cortese for having this wonderful vision for our club.

iamasaint Posted 17 August, 2013 Share Posted 17 August, 2013 I thought Chambers did really well today! He is to us what Luke Shaw was to us last year! It is a great time for us Saints fans!! COYR!!
iamasaint Posted 17 August, 2013 Share Posted 17 August, 2013 One more thing. The half time stats for possession was insane! It was 67-33 to the saints! Since when have we had so much possession away from home?!
DT Posted 17 August, 2013 Share Posted 17 August, 2013 Wardy's delivery into the box is outstanding Really? I thought that was only part of his game that let him down. Didn't clear first man on couple of corners.
Hedgehog Posted 17 August, 2013 Share Posted 17 August, 2013 They were far better than Adam and Gastons last year. Obviously he was given the job by the manager as I can't remember Adam taking any set pieces today, could be wrong.
