Not sure what thread best for this, but for anybody interested, I saw Yoshida and Tandari Lee coming out of The Quays in town about a hour ago...make of that what you will.

They live in the same building and hang out together. OMG... make up a story at will.

With Chelsea beating Villa tonight all we need to happen on Saturday is ---Fulham not to beat Arsenal (possible to likely)-----Newcastle to beat West Ham (possible)----Aston Villa and Liverpool draw (maybe) and Saints to win by 2 clear goals (3-1 anybody?) City and United dont play ,so we are are top . :) Nah couldnt happen --------could it?

Bad memories of QPR and Wigan games last season. Our fans thought we just had to turn up to win and we blew it both times!

Sunderland looked decent going forward on MOD Saturday, I won't be taking anything for granted 'til that final whistle blows!

No, nobody has every thought that about Saints. People just thought they were games we had a decent chance of winning, same as this one.

"We have a significant project of getting young players into the first team," he [Pochettino] said. "And of course the young players will always have a chance within our structure."

One such player is Ward Prowse who Pochettino hinted will be the main beneficiary of Jason Puncheon's departure to Crystal Palace on loan.

Pochettino confirmed Puncheon joined Palace on loan for "personal reasons" but also that the arrival of Osvaldo could see him alter their formation.

"With the arrival of Dani Osvaldo, Puncheon realised his chances of getting in the team were greatly reduced," he added.

"Ward Prowse played very well at West Brom. He has the technique and the ability to play anywhere in midfield, so we are very happy and pleased with him and hope he continues the trajectory he is on."

"Dani is fit, he played an international match last week but he needs to integrate himself into our structure and learn how we play.

5/1 seems high considering how well they did against us at our place last season.

One of those instances where last year's form has zero bearing on this year. Different manager and completely (?) different team. Apart from their name they bear absolutely no relationship to the team we played last season.

Saints won't be lining up like this either...

01 K Davis

02 Clyne

03 Yoshida

06 Fonte

23 Shaw

04 Schneiderlin (S Davis - 59' )

10 Ramirez

18 Cork

42 Puncheon (Guly - 80' )

07 Lambert

24 Mayuka (De Ridder - 55' )

There are no easy games in the Prem as we found out last season. PDC is a crackpot and a c*nt but that doesn't mean they haven't got players who are good on their day. Fletcher, Altidor, Sess, Johnson can be dangerous. That said, I don't think they're all that at the back and hopefully we can exploit that. I'm going for a win by a single goal, whether it's 1-0 or 4-3. Although I had a dream that Lambert scored early and we were 3-0 up... But I can't remember the rest. Might have a punt on 3-3.

I do love it how we now should be winning

yet if a chelsea/liverpool fan said that when we play them, they will be viewed as 'arrogant'

I think they'd be viewed as arrogant, but with good reason. Same as us during our ascendency through the lower leagues, and hopefully us again as we continue to climb!

Lallana was the only player I couldnt see in the training videos and pics from today.

Lallana is in the 2nd from last pic.

Still find it amazing that I'm looking at our player training pictures, with players of the calibre of Lovren, Rameriz and Osvaldo training in our kit. It's just crazy to think we'd be here just 18 months ago.

In one game we:

Subbed off Morgan.

Played Kelv in goal.

Played De Ridder for almost half a game.

Wow...seems like a lifetime ago.

I don't think we're going to "smash" anyone this season by a big scoreline, but I do think we'll win MOST of the games we're expected to win, especially at St Mary's. We're stronger defensively than we were last season and now we have Osvaldo, hopefully we can put away some of the many chances we create.

To that end we should win tomorrow, but Sunderland are so unpredictable at the moment with all their new signings. Lawrenson asks on his predo league whether Di Canio is a genius or an idiot. I'd suggest the latter, but with all those new players, they should be fighting hard for a permanent starting place.

I'm hastily going for a 3-1 win, Lambert to carry on his goalscoring form with a brace and a slammer from Wanyama. (Heh, that rhymes.)

I think if Lambert, Ossie & Gaston click, someone could be in for a hiding this season.

Hopefully Sunderland tomorrow, I have a totally irrational dislike for them. No idea why, just do.

I'm going with

Boruc

Clyne Lovren Fonte Shaw

Wanyama Schneiderlin

JWP Lallana JRod

Lambert

Subs: Davis, Chambers, Yoshida, Cork, Davis, Ramirez, Osvaldo

And I'll go for a 0-0 draw. Was impressed with the way Sunderland played last week, but don't fancy them to score. I think both sides will cancel each other out.

I think this will probably be the team too - though I would like to see:

Boruc

Clyne Lovren Fonte Shaw

Wanyama Schneiderlin

Lallana Ramirez Osvaldo

Lambert

We should win this one. I'd like us to thump them as can't stand PDC but think it could be a lot tighter than that. Depends how early we can get that first goal really.

I'm going for 2-0. Lallana and Osvaldo with the goals. COYR!

I think the system Poch, wants to play is by using the Full Backs as almost wingers an in Shaw and Clyne we have two of the best at doing that but to do that you need players like JWP and JRod who will work up and down to cover. Unless the full backs are told to sit in. A front 4 of Lallana, Ramirez, Ossie and SRL might look great but cant see a lot of defending from the front with those 4

Good to have options though. I hope we see at least 30 mins of Ossie
