Gambol2K9 Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 I can't imagine Newcastle can afford to sack Pardew, he's got a bumper contract.
TheSpankBoy Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Di Canio. I hope. From what I have seen, pretty sure half the Sunderland squad hope so too.
Danbert Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Watching the Hull game, it would be a travesty if Steve Bruce isn't sacked very soon.
Batman Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Harsh on Bruce? Finishes 2nd in the championship. Perhaps, the next fergie?
DuncanRG Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Watching the Hull game, it would be a travesty if Steve Bruce isn't sacked very soon. Dear me.
DG Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Chelsea will blitz the league this year, a few teams will be on the receiving end.
richard Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Can't see the point in them sacking Wenger, it's the last year of his contract. Also, they qualified for the CL for the 15th season in a row last year.
Bakovnetski Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Di Canio will walk. First sacking to be Hughes
CB Fry Posted 18 August, 2013 Posted 18 August, 2013 Don't get the feeling that Hughes is anything other than safe at Stoke and will guide them into 12/13/14/15th with no bother. Maybe higher. Di Canio will win one game and be gone by November.
Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Di Canio, I hope. O'Neil had done nothing wrong at Sunderland & they replaced him with a complete clown who's built a squad fit for relegation.
The9 Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Di Canio is a good bet , if things don't get off to a good start then October Hughes - can't stand him but I expect the Stoke board will give him time as he is their recent appointment (perhaps December) Jol - 3points today will keep Fulham in a half decent position for a few weeks, so he too might be an October bet, although I think the new owner may want a change. Jol is probably my shout. I do wonder about Pelligrini at City if it does not fall into place quickly, and if we are slumping end Oct then Pochettino may need to look over his shoulder. Jol is mine too, new owner will be looking for an excuse to get rid of him.
Pwoite Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Xmas? With the way tonight's match is going, he might be lucky to make Wednesday!
angelman Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Sack or leave on their own accord - Pardew. Currently 3-0, with 35 to go, but can see this being at least 5
John Boy Saint Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Hughes might get it just for flying to Italy to see Osvaldo while he was flying to sign with us.
View From The Top Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Newcastle were awful and Pardew looks doomed.
Doctoroncall Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Newcastle were awful and Pardew looks doomed. Agree, they are in trouble already! PDC will survive, a canny operator.
Leslie Charteris Posted 19 August, 2013 Posted 19 August, 2013 Jol, Di Canio and Mackay are the ones most at risk in my view as the club owners are not likely to tolerate failure. If any of them start losing more than they win they could be out. Pardew might might leave "by mutual consent" if tonight's showing is repeated too often. I'd like to see Saints give Sunderland a tonking just to turn up the heat a little.
krissyboy31 Posted 20 August, 2013 Posted 20 August, 2013 I'm going Steve Bruce after falling out big style with the Allam's
angelman Posted 20 August, 2013 Posted 20 August, 2013 Seeing PdC banning more people, I wouldn't be surprised if at some stage the players go to the chairman and give him an ultimatum - them or him. Wenger - depends on tomorrow. He did well to start off with, but in recent years the gloss has been wearing off, and this year it has completely gone. Pardew - I feel sorry for him as I am not sure that it is really him. The owner and DoF are seemingly as idiotic as each other. Jol - I think he'll do OK. Bruce/Mackay - I think it tough on promoted sides. Bruce certainly doesn't have the financial backing that we did, so not sure what would be gained by sacking him, same with Holloway. Mackay does potentially have some financial clout behind him. He has spent £28m compared to Hull's £13. We all know that money has to be spent, and Hull probably need to spend more to be competitive. At least up to Cardiff's level. So to me, Bruce and Holloway will be safer than Mackay. Palace have "only" spent £8m. Managers of course would be happy spending ten times that much, but have to work within the wishes of the Chairman, so it's a little tough to sack them for poor performances when they haven't been able to strengthen the side. But as we all know from NA's sacking, there's no room for sentiment.
dubai_phil Posted 20 August, 2013 Posted 20 August, 2013 It will crucify their finances but Newcastle will have to fire Pardew quickly. They had problems last year, Kinnear has brought in fewer players than Wenger.
Eastcowzer Posted 20 August, 2013 Posted 20 August, 2013 Steve Bruce I think Pardew will walk from Newcastle rather than be sacked Don't think Pardew will walk and give up the compensation. Remember he's on an 8 year contract and has'nt finished the first year yet.
Baldbarbarian Posted 20 August, 2013 Posted 20 August, 2013 Di Canio... he is completely nuts and will already be under pressure after we beat them on Saturday
Smirking_Saint Posted 22 September, 2013 Posted 22 September, 2013 Don't get the feeling that Hughes is anything other than safe at Stoke and will guide them into 12/13/14/15th with no bother. Maybe higher. Di Canio will win one game and be gone by November. Good shout mr Fry
angelman Posted 22 September, 2013 Posted 22 September, 2013 Good decision by Sunderland's board. Was a disaster waiting to happen, or rather was a disaster happening. Apparently Di Matteo is being lined up.
brmbrm Posted 22 September, 2013 Posted 22 September, 2013 Programmed the old computer back 4 weeks ago. Put in all available data including weather forecast, GDP predictions and the state of the astral plane. The answer popped out a few minutes ago: Di Canio. Will stroll down the bookis and bung a fiver on. Oh
TopGun Posted 22 September, 2013 Posted 22 September, 2013 Good decision by Sunderland's board. Was a disaster waiting to happen, or rather was a disaster happening. Apparently Di Matteo is being lined up. But the same board appointed him and let him spend cash over the summer...
chocco boxo Posted 23 September, 2013 Posted 23 September, 2013 Pompey next for him? Those ****s down there would love him, a perfect match I say! A big **** running a club full of ****s watched by ****s. He should even change his name to Di ****io.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 November, 2013 Author Posted 9 November, 2013 (edited) WHU losing away at Norwich Could be the end for Big Sam Edited 9 November, 2013 by Glasgow_Saint
SNSUN Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 I'm torn between Di Canio or Hughes. I think Di Canio was a panic appointment at the end of last season and his inexperience in going out and basically signing a whole new team will see him gone. So Di Canio does get my vote. Honorary mention goes to Norwich's Chris Hughton, who's under pressure to deliver results what with the investment they've had in the playing side this summer. :-) Lose today and IMO he's a goner. Underachieving. The wife (Norwich fan) agrees.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 9 November, 2013 Author Posted 9 November, 2013 (edited) Might be the time to give both (big sam & Jol) the boot - international break allows more time to replace Edited 9 November, 2013 by Glasgow_Saint
Gorgiesaint Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 Martin Jol looks to be on borrowed time Yep, according to the BBC text coverage, Fulham were even worse today than they were against us.
SNSUN Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 Read my posts again What the one about you predicting Pardew as first out? ;-) Hughton got lucky. Besides Leroy Fer's goal, they still over-rely on set pieces to score their goals. The penalty shouldn't have been given and then there was the free kick which was harsh. (Jussi wasn't great today either - the handling for his penalty was poor and he was too far over for the free kick. I wish he'd played as dodgily against us!)
