40% of games gone and he hadn't predicted Arsenal,City, Utd or Liverpool to lose a game and just one for Chelsea.

And not one win predicted for Cardiff and Sunderland - their forums must be fuming at the old bastrd

Not far off in Sunderland case!

Call me a cynic but it sounds very much like he is hoping his prediction will cause the reserve effect.

In comparison, this game looks easier but I am always a bit wary of tipping the Magpies to win games that you might expect them to, because they are capable of beating anybody, but of losing to anybody too. When they are on song, I want to wax lyrical about them but they have drawn me in before then let me down, and more importantly let themselves down too.

Most of his predictions are wrong. Predict a win and we lose, and predict a loss and we win. Presto, his league table has us "correctly" getting 3 points from 2 wrong predictions. And so on.

15 wrongs do make a right!

Alas I haven't kept track to know how accurate he has been but feel he has moved to national treasure status now. These young articulate sorts may show him up a little but I will miss his sneering sarcasm when he goes.

What a waste todays predictions are. DeNiro and Stallone noth bothering, bascially. Except Stallone is revealed to be an Everton fan.

Lawro expecting us to win. A jinx if ever there was one.

Lawrenson's "competition" this week with the predictions is comedian Vic Reeves. So we get predictions from him of 400-1, 11-12, etc. This was amusing the first few times, but it's getting to be a regular feature now, so not funny at all. Is Lawrenson really that desperate to win?
