Liquidshokk Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 So I'm watching the Liverpool stoke game with laptop connected to tv by HD cable and the video is a bit juddery but audio fine. It's better on the laptop itself. I'm guessing this is cos its being blown up on the 32" tv? Any tips from anyone on improving this?
hypochondriac Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Are you the mattyg of previous mattyg of g, birthday 24th July? If so amazing you appear as I dreamt about you 2 nights ago. Bloody hell it gets worse every season...

Crouchie Crouchie Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Worth every penny! It's a disgrace that you have to do all of this just to watch football. The fact that for just a few months worth of sky you can get a whole seasons worth and watch more is an even bigger joke really Quality really is superb same as sky player on my laptop.
latter day saint Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Wtf is Bert doing in the background of the photo ?

If possible avoid wireless and use an ethernet cable for your connectivity.
SaintChrispy Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Cancellation is done by click of a button in the my account section Cheers
Liquidshokk Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 HD6 is HD quality for me and with English commentary. If possible avoid wireless and use an ethernet cable for your connectivity. Tried that. Think its more the refresh rate or the stretching of the resolution on the tv. Pretty decent tv though so would have thought the refresh rate would be ok. Guess it comes down to the laptop graphics card and the hdmi port capabilities.
TheSaintPhil Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Im trying this now but the http://www.en.aljazeerasport.tv/ site is SO SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

syd_barrett_saint Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Watching with this, working perfectly, best quality stream I've ever had and not a single lag or freeze. Amazing! Well worth the money and I'm going to enjoy this season so much more now, thanks all for posting this info!

Pastor Patrón Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Yeah working a treat now, anyone manage to get in working through a PS3?
TheSaintPhil Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 working great on my cinema screen.. pretty much the same as them free feeds but the quality is hd and no spam ads lol plus you can see the players and not a blur!
Liquidshokk Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Me too. So glad I didn't get a season ticket. Can't help but think it won't last the season ISPs have already tackled firstrow
hypochondriac Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Can't help but think it won't last the season ISPs have already tackled firstrow Quite possibly. I just find it mental that they don't offer a similar service in this country. In terms of convenience it is brilliant.
TheSaintPhil Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Can't help but think it won't last the season ISPs have already tackled firstrow And failed.. you only need to google a work around.
Liquidshokk Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Quite possibly. I just find it mental that they don't offer a similar service in this country. In terms of convenience it is brilliant. Would prob cost so much more if it was uk service. The last couple of days have showed how many people are prepared to pay for such a service though.
revolution saint Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Well impressed with that. Only played it through my PC but got a big wide screen monitor and played it full screen with no problems. Pretty much HD quality most of the time and didn't stop or freeze once.
S-Clarke Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Really really imprssed with this. Hooked it up via HDMI to my TV and it went through my sound system, looked like i was watching a sky HD game to be honest. Great value, didn't drop once.
treggs23 Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 not quite related, but for anyone interested, sky sports looks free-to-air through Sky 2, channel 123 on Virgin Media for today apologies if already posted elsewhere, thought a few might want to watch our title rivals start at Swansea imminently http://tvnewsroom.co.uk/sport/sky-sports-1-to-air-for-free-on-pick-tv-sky-2-60567/
Brussels Saint Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Did anyone get it working from an ipad with the app from the egypt itunes store? Mine worked, but the stream was very bad and dropped off to audio only. Seemed to work for other sports e.g. Ping pong but as soon as the epl games came up, quality really dropped off.
Torres Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Disappointed with the quality of that today. Blocky and juddery. I wonder if it's related to my using Hola rather than Overplay. No idea why I'm unable to sign up to Overplay...

No idea why I'm unable to sign up to Overplay... HD Quality for me on a 42", don't think there was a problem with the stream.
Torres Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Could someone do me a quick favour and try to sign up to Overplay? I get an error straight after clicking the New Account button.
Mikey88 Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Quite possibly. I just find it mental that they don't offer a similar service in this country. In terms of convenience it is brilliant. Think the argument against it has been that it would mean that lower league attendances would suffer dramatically if all Premiership games where on the TV each week!
DatSaint Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 The site was really slow, but when I first got the stream going it was HD quality. I dont regret buying it, for now. But then again, the other stream that was posted here wasn't too bad either.
Convict Colony Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 HD Quality for me on a 42", don't think there was a problem with the stream. Snap it was perfect on my 55inch, filled the screen only issue was for the odd minute it was briefly blocky but it soon sorted itself out, defo worth the money if your out of the country.

I didn't have to get mine from Egypt App Store. Just changed the billing country to Egypt and it downloaded and worked fine after changing DNS setting on ipad
syd_barrett_saint Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Disappointed with the quality of that today. Blocky and juddery. I wonder if it's related to my using Hola rather than Overplay. No idea why I'm unable to sign up to Overplay... I've tried it today with Overplay for the Saints game, and now Hola for Swansea - United. Same quality for both. Don't think I'll be renewing Overplay after this month, as Hola is free and seems to do the same job so far.
Bewildered Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Quality went up and down when I watched Liverpool v Stoke and for the first half of Saints, but 2nd half the quality stayed consistent. It's all a new set up for AJ this Internet streaming service, so hopefully these are just teething issues and they will get better as the weeks go on.
hypochondriac Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Think the argument against it has been that it would mean that lower league attendances would suffer dramatically if all Premiership games where on the TV each week! Perhaps if they priced the games sensibly across the board that would not be an issue...
Joey-deacons-left-nut Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Can't help but think it won't last the season ISPs have already tackled firstrow First row was illegally re broadcasting copyrighted content, that's why. There no law to stop us accessing content from another country. There are restrictions on the companies selling to people outside of their territories , but that's what the DNA hack gets around. There is no legal way this could ever be blocked at the ISP level.

saintalan Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 Watched on my 42" Plasma via HDMI from notebook with Chrome/Hola with no problem. I did reset my Notebook Display Resolution to that of my TV which helped. Wouldn't stop me going to a Home match but I find it nervy watching alone! Too much room to pace
TheSaintPhil Posted 17 August, 2013 Posted 17 August, 2013 this is the same as Netflix.. just using a thing to make you look like your in the USA to get the USA content. this will however **** sky off. with this is it worth having sky sports? I have it but I may cancel it.
