England v Scotland

I have to admit to drifting in and out of live games on the TV

I also have to confess that whilst I am in awe of the extremely high level of skill, movement and passing ability provided by the top sides such as Barcelona, I often find this too good and therefore lose interest.

However I watched the England v Scotland game for the whole 90 mins not only waiting for the arrival of SRL but also for the fact it was an interesting game

Technical ability was relatively poor from both sides but it was an honest, 'British' game with number of mistakes actually adding to the interest.

It basically reflected the game I was brought up on.

The icing on the cake was the appearance of SRL and our household erupted when he scored.

Shame that the last minute bobble affected his open goal opportunity otherwise we would all have gone into meltdown

btw SRL really looks lean compared to when he first arrived from Bristol Rovers and his positive comments on the help given to him by all at SFC seemed heartfelt.
