Where is everyone heading then? Me + 1 arrive in Brum around 11:45 and not done WBA before.

Lots of choice. If you're arriving by train, try the Wellington on Bennetts Hill off New Street. Always16 real ales on.

Near the ground, The Vine has superb Indian BBQ

Sounds good mate cheers. Any advice on getting from new street to WBA? Bus/taxi?

Train to Smethwick Galton Bridge, change there and then on to the Hawthornes (that's the name of the station too, a stones throw from the ground). Takes about 20 minutes from Birmingham New Street. Alternatively, you can get a direct train from Birmingham Moor Street or Birmingham Snow Hill.

Metro from Moor Street to The Hawthorns or Kerrick Park, which is close to The Vine. Follow the crowd from there to the ground.

Beer's ok, BBQ is awesome. It will get VERY busy. Reckon on 20 mins queuing for food, but worth it. Strange place - tiny rooms in the original pub then massive room and marquee at the back

Does anybody know if most pubs in the area are away supporter friendly? Any that should be avoided?

What's parking like around the ground? I see there are a few industrial estates- parking for a fee? Probably going to get there about 12:30

Never driven it, sorry. May be some street parking by The Vine

Plenty of street parking around ground or pay a fiver to park on an industrial site. We gave up on Vine last season as it was 30minto get served so ended up drinking in ground.

We parked in the forecourt of some tyre place on the main road last year, but it was an evening game so they were just closing when we got there.

Hmm...might sack that one off then...is there literally no other pubs in West Brom!?

The Briar Rose & Wellington on Bennets Hill only 5 mins walk from New Street Station, much better heading there IMO, then a 10min walk to Moor street station to catch a train The Hawthorns

Tons of good pubs around Birmingham, and then just 10mins on the train to The Hawthorns.
