He has now been granted Belgian citizenship, and no longer needs a work permit

Good shout, personaly I hope we get at least 1 defender (LB, better than Fox) and a striker, I don't think we will though as we've had months to do it.

If its true we tried to sign him only a month ago i would be very surprised if we did not go back for him now. The OP's post suggests we must have agreed terms with the player if we appealed regarding his work permit. I don't think anyone would disagree that the defence is STILL an area that needs addressing!
