St Landrew Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 (edited) Bung 'em in here. Am I going to regret putting the half time and 2nd half chat together..? We'll see. Edited 6 December, 2008 by St Landrew
suewhistle Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Radio Sheff were pretty complimentary about some of our passing. I still feel nervous though.
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 a very good first half performance. is 1-0 enough? will we pay for it as often the 2nd half is a totally different game?
saintjay77 Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 sounded good. owls tatters said owls had the 1st 10 mins but we were in control for the remainder of the half.
Mole Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 so much for um pahars 4-1 prediction. my £1.55 bet looks down.
ottery st mary Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Saints playing great at times with lots of praise from commentator and Guy Whittingham. We are really brilliant or Wednesday are rubbish..Not sure..but we MUST get the win and 3 points..more goals hopefully as they tire... Well done so far....And so far Well done JP but get the system right in the second half..COYR
saintjay77 Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 so much for um pahars 4-1 prediction. my £1.55 bet looks down. you betting on us to lose again?
ExSt Peter Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 I would feel a lot happier if we'd got a 2nd goal while on top. Nervous times to come I fear.

Nervous times to come I fear. yeah the 2nd just before half time would have been perfect. other teams have a habit of changing things for the 2nd half and we dont cope so could be a nervy 45 mins

Well done so far....And so far Well done JP but get the system right in the second half..COYR Not happy with Guy Whittingham being the "pundit" but they seem to be impressed with us so far. I wasn't quite clear when our fans were singing "shoot the Pxmpey scum" how their commentator said all the noise we could hear was from Wednesday fans and god knows where they are sat because he said they couldn't even see a Southampton fan? Are they at the back of the away section facing backwards? Other than that I'm not counting any chickens but it sounds like we are well on top. Please carry on from there lads
ottery st mary Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 The first 15 for JP to earn his corn and some of the players their spurs so to speak. COYR more goals please.
saintjay77 Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 did the tatter just say the owls have got beavis and buthead at the back?
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 COME ON SAINTS!!! big 3 points this would be.
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Blackpool leading Charlton 1-0 would that be a possible 7 point gap if results stay the same (which could easily not happen)???
Bromley Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 would that be a possible 7 point gap if results stay the same (which could easily not happen)??? I make it 6pts at the mo (Donnie are winning
Bromley Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 15,440 attendance today - fans sounding good at the mo
Micky Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Commentators Kiss of Death - "Wednesday have never won here...."
Bromley Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Looks like Sheffield Wednesday couldn't win a raffle - David Armstrong
St Landrew Posted 6 December, 2008 Author Posted 6 December, 2008 Who's the main commentator for Radio Hampshire today, alongside David Armstrong..? He's good. Paints a pretty good picture.

St Landrew Posted 6 December, 2008 Author Posted 6 December, 2008 Alex someone That's narrowed the field down somewhat..!
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Looks like Sheffield Wednesday couldn't win a raffle - David Armstrong I dont get that. Raffles usually are fairly hard things to win. He really needs to sort out his comparisons...!!!
Bromley Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 That's narrowed the field down somewhat..! Yes, sorry - trying to find out some more but he's not listed on Radio Hampshire's website (helpfully)
sambosa75 Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Who's the main commentator for Radio Hampshire today, alongside David Armstrong..? He's good. Paints a pretty good picture. I noticed last week Will Cope has been hired by Sky now. Last week he was as Turf Moor. Strange, thought he was average at best. Not sure who the new guy is though. Anyone now where we are in the league, as it stands?

ottery st mary Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Commentators saying ball boys not giving wed ball back quickly...sour grapes..I hope
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 The lightening around my house is more scary than the threat Wednesday are posing it seems. No game updates are fine by me!!!
ottery st mary Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Come on Saints..get a grip...Wed now corner and we must get another goal ..quickly. Robertson off Patterson on
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 good luck to the boy. think he could do well!!!
patred44 Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Weds are getting back into this game, we will we regret not getting that cushion when we had the chances in first half??
ottery st mary Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Patterson to score two...would be nice..I would accept goals from anyone now..for Saints of course.
Bromley Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Paterson comes close from a Skacel free kick!
ottery st mary Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Saints coming close...Wednesday marking Surman more closely......Wed brake and end up with the corner.
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 20 minutes left on the clock. Advice: Don't sit back!!! they will just come at us and at us if we do that. Play normal and get forward looking for that second. (i hope the players read this though its unlikely)
brightspark Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 I remember last season we lost to Norwich 1-0 at home, having 24 shots off target to 2 shots on or something like that. Well we have 9 on and 3 off so far today, which maybe suggests that Poortvliet has sorted out some of the poor attacking we had last season. COYR!!!
Matty's Caddy Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Slusarski on for Jeffers. What a great name. jeffers?
Bromley Saint Posted 6 December, 2008 Posted 6 December, 2008 Tudgay (?) came close to equalising. Phew!
