Thank you for all you have done for the club, have a wonderful day and you'll be pleased to hear you share your special day with Alexi Sayle, Dominic Cork and Tina O'brien. Proof if anywhere needed that todsy is a celebration of greatness.

No one is that obsessed about the chairman mate. People like you have contributed towards the rise of the modern celebrity chairman. I bet no one was wishing Guy Askham happy birthday!

Im embracing modern day soccerball!! In any case I told you about the 1984 when as an 8 year old schoolboy following our success in the league that season I decided that I wanted to be a chairman just like our then great leader Alan Woodford. I didn't want to be the Steve Moran, the man who celebrated a late winner in front of 10,000 saints fans at fraton park, or our hard man left back mark Dennis, or even our England international keeper. I wanted to me the man sitting in the directors box, writing the cheques and shuffling paper round his desk. The brains behind the brilliance.

To be fair, I think most of us now have a more realistic of being Saints chairman than a hero player.

I am dreaming Turkish and instead of pretending to be Matt Le Tiss scoring worldies whilst kicking a soccerball against the wall in my back garden, I now pretend to be doing a laid back interview with Jim White.

That's the spirit! I remember when I was 10 playing 'sign the player' most summer evenings with two school mates. I was always the chairman, one of them would be a player and the other his agent, we would spend hours pretending to discuss contract negotiations and sell on clauses. Every now and then we were joined by Michael Roberts who none of us liked and we would make him the lazy, lying scumbag journo who would break the story. Those were days.

Dear Terchesh or whatever you're called - please dispense with the sycophantic posts hoping for a free ticket to my inner circle, I've read too much negativity from you towards me in the early days and as an Italian I cannot forgive such petulance and bad fashion taste.

Regards

Nicola

Wow, another sarcastic thread, with a healthy dose of anti-club vibe.

I for one am more than happy to play it with a straight bat and wish Nicola a happy birthday.

where is the anti club vibe? Quote it.

This is exactly what is ruining this forum, a well intentioned thread wishing our chairman a happy birthday and another thread which the holier than thou rat pack are trolling and trying to turn into an attack on the posters they dont like, whilst at the same time trying to express the superior air they hold themselves in by a haughty responses to finish.

WUMs vs Rat Pack, you guys have now named your enemy? Why does it always have to be so divisive, with no middle ground? It getting like American politics in here.
