Marsdinho Posted 7 August, 2013 Share Posted 7 August, 2013 Hi, I need to produce an AO sized map of the UK, with about 53 locations marked on it....by tomorrow morning. Ideally, I need the end result to be a .png / .jpg file that I can put on a USB stick and print of on the plotter printer in the morning. Anyone got any suggestions as to how I go about this, so far I’ve found sites like zeemap that will allow me to add locations easy enough, but charge to print it (£30 for AO!), or I could manually add the locations to a hi res image of the UK, but this would probably take a long time, that I don't have! Any helpful advice would be gratefully received!
oracle saint Posted 7 August, 2013 Share Posted 7 August, 2013 Try Google maps; you can add locations, save, print, email, etc.
Marsdinho Posted 8 August, 2013 Author Share Posted 8 August, 2013 Hi, cheers for the response. It seems that printing is the issue, ive found a few sites that allow me to add locations etc, but then wont let me print due to licensing issues. Google maps seems to allow you to print, but it wants to print a screen grab (as opposed to just the map) I think I've got a work around though, and have explained to the person that wants this to present the data electronically (this is 2013 after all!) tony13579 Posted 11 August, 2013 Share Posted 11 August, 2013 Shame I retired. I had an A0 printer at work. It popped its clogs just before I left too.
