I enjoyed that too. QE was majestic in Kirkwall . It was fantastic being up close to her . I will put some pictures up later . She's on her way to Dublin and then St. Peter's port before she returns to soton .

You do know don't you we are talking about two completely different ships. The one in the video was built in 1940 and retired in 1968!

SWS saint , yes I do . I started another thread about the current QE and this one popped up afterwards . The modern queen elizabeth is a massive vessel . But on Sunday I'm going out on a pilot boat to escort an even bigger liner out of Kirkwall . The Caribbean princess

The waters they come through are treacherous and ships over a certain capacity require the assistence of a pilot on board who knows the the local waters. Im looking forward to being on board this comming sunday
