Turkish Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Wow some memories there and to add a few Panini sticker albums, Adidas originals, Jossys giants, grange hill, Patrick cagoules, Fila, Standing with your mates on terraces, playing football every night until the sun goes down, BBC computers, puma kings, shoot and match magazine, the beano, Today newspaper, marathons, star bars, pretending top deck was beer.

CB Saint Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Being able to roam about all day as a kid without having a Parent or another CRB checked adult in tow. Parenting for boys used to follow the Line of "feed them, kick them out, feed them again when they turn up in the evening", everyday was an adventure
pap Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Saw this vid on Facebook; this sort of thing crops up a lot there. Also, in Peter Kay's entire act.
ericofarabia Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 I was born in the late 50's as such don't have a memory now, I just sit in the corner and dribble (when not spouting bollix on here11) Have some of this action, it might explain a few things us not so youngsters post
ericofarabia Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Supermarionation is the way forward!! RIP Gerry Anderson, thanks for the memories. That foxy Minx Lady Penelope would definitely get it!!
Badger Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Supermarionation is the way forward!! RIP Gerry Anderson, thanks for the memories. That foxy Minx Lady Penelope would definitely get it!! This was the forerunner : "Anything can happen in the next half hour" , possibly the most dramatic introduction ever (for a five year old it was anyway).
Badger Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Re above , sorry for hijacking the born in the 70's /80's thread with memories of the 60's. Clearly we had more exciting times a decade earlier !
JackFrost Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 I remember when I was in my late 20s and had to babysit a friend's little boy for a couple of hours. There came the point when I let him watch the TV because he said 'Knightmare was about to start'. By the end of the episode I got hooked on the TV show myself even though I was fast approaching 30 at the time. The amount of videotapes I once had of this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BBQL4zsyKLk
Saint137 Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Single earphone transistor radios, run cable up sleeve of school blazer so I could listen to the charts on a Tuesday. Was how I got to hear about Keegan...
EastleighSoulBoy Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Supermarionation is the way forward!! RIP Gerry Anderson, thanks for the memories. That foxy Minx Lady Penelope would definitely get it!! I didn't realise that Keith Chegwin was about in those days....20 seconds in.
View From The Top Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 What happened to white dog ****? It disappeared quicker than marathons, top deck and red rock cider. It's because dogs don't eat bones from the butchers anymore. Give my dogs bones and you are guaranteed white sh*t.
PhilippineSaint Posted 3 August, 2013 Posted 3 August, 2013 Just got the gardener to remove a great big load of white dog sh!t from the lawn its still happening in the far east
ericofarabia Posted 3 August, 2013 Posted 3 August, 2013 For youngsters like Eric Wonderful. Totally captivating. Wil have to watch it all the way through when I have time. I think that maybe the Watch With Mother VHS compilation I bought my kids age and ages ago!!
