Turkish Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 How dare they not mention us!! More evidence of the anti saints agenda in the media.

Batman Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Surprised so many think Cardiff will go down ... ? when was the last time all 3 newly promoted teams went straight back down?
Saint Charlie Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Waste of time doing predictions when there's still a month of the window left.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 (edited) I thought Norwich were now bonafide bad-boys now? How come so many pundits are tipping them to go down? Edited 30 July, 2013 by KelvinsRightGlove
sentry Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 when was the last time all 3 newly promoted teams went straight back down? I think it was a while ago, would be interesting to know, but this year I think all three coming up are the weakest in the last few years overall.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 I think it was a while ago, would be interesting to know, but this year I think all three coming up are the weakest in the last few years overall. Palace and hull I just can't see surviving. Cardiff might, there may well be a shocker out there from a team that hasn't just come up. Newcastle are never too far away from self(/Ashley)-inflicted crisis, and Christ knows what Sunderlands scattergun transfer policy will turn up, might do them well, may be a calamity, time will tell.
Saint Garrett Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 I think it was a while ago, would be interesting to know, but this year I think all three coming up are the weakest in the last few years overall. Always one or two strugglers who aren't promoted sides. Can't see them all going down. Sure they'll be an established side or two who struggle too. Newcastle and Sunderland done alright the season before. Stoke/Fulham possibly next season...think Norwich will have a decent year, maybe WBA will struggle a bit more this year? Sunderland could go either way. Could push on or do a QPR it depends how they gel together as they'll have a completely new side next year.
ant Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 How dare they not mention us!! More evidence of the anti saints agenda in the media. Oh dear, somebody's put Turkish-bot on 'autopost'. I actually don't disagree with many of the things you rip at on here, but my word does it get dull when posted ad infinitum. On-topic: meh. Can't think of any media outlet or individual that regularly calls it correctly pre-season. Predictions are only really published to provoke engagement.
Dalek2003 Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Not wanting to offend anyone, so why are we not at least mentioned as a possible top 6 signing ? Once again I think there is bias towards the big clubs who have spent more money on transfers than us. We will of course come charging up on the rails and shake up the league.

Because we'll be fighting relegation all season? You of all people should know this?
Saint Garrett Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Who cares what Lawro thinks? All a bit of fun!
saintrich Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Dated 19th June, not sure so many will be saying Norwich to go down now.
SW5 SAINT Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Anybody else find they were skipping the predictions for the Top 4 in the Premiership, everything else was mildly interesting.
whelk Posted 30 July, 2013 Author Posted 30 July, 2013 Oh dear, somebody's put Turkish-bot on 'autopost'. I actually don't disagree with many of the things you rip at on here, but my word does it get dull when posted ad infinitum. Surely nauseum? The irony that he thinks he is a wiser, smarter and funnier tahn all others but is becoming tediously boring and completely predictable - actually like Lawro!
Dalek2003 Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Because we'll be fighting relegation all season? You of all people should know this? No, I've now fallen in line.
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 Man City to win the League Hahahaha. Anyone see the Cup Final? Total turd from top to bottom. Gareth Barry lol. Win the League? Mid table more like. I'm going to back them to finish outside the top 4 at decent odds.
Saint_clark Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 He's gone for the easiest choices all round there. QPR, Wolves and Portsmouth to win their respective leagues shows no insight at all.

brightspark Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 No surprise Lawro has gone for QPR to win the Championship. Was it 7th or 8th he had them finishing the Premier League last season with his predictions? Plank.
Prince Jazzbo Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 Amusingly in the comments bit someone predicts Bournemouth to win league 1. Quite a few predicting the skates to win league 2. I've got a bad feeling about that.
Sour Mash Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 Is this a joke post...? Please remember, this is Saintsweb.
VectisSaint Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 Waste of time doing predictions when there's still a month of the window left. The article is dated 19th June, 10 weeks before transfer window closes, it bascially coincided with fixtures being released. Its just a bit of nonsense.
Minty Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 Is this a joke post...? Depends in what context you mean the word 'joke'...
Minty Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 This comment/blog might be worth keeping an eye on... entitled to his opinion of course, but really? Bottom?! Graeme Stevenson 11:25 AM on 12/7/2013 1 - Arsenal, 2 - Man City, 3 - Chelsea, 4 - Man United. 18 - Norwich, 19 - Crystal Palace, 20 - Southampton. FA Cup - Arsenal. Capital One Cup - Chelsea. Championship - Leeds. League 1 - Sheffield United. League 2 - Portsmouth. Champions League - Man City. Keep up to date with my predictions when I make my official Premier League table prediction on my blog, oneofthem1s.wordpress.com/, within the next few weeks.
Batman Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 This comment/blog might be worth keeping an eye on... entitled to his opinion of course, but really? Bottom?! cant see us doing worse than both Hull and crystal palace one of them, maybe as you never know. but both? also, arsenal to do the double? f-off
Prince Jazzbo Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 This comment/blog might be worth keeping an eye on... entitled to his opinion of course, but really? Bottom?! If you click on his name, and then click on the facebook link, you'll see that his location gives a good indication as to why he thinks we'll come bottom.
Minty Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 If you click on his name, and then click on the facebook link, you'll see that his location gives a good indication as to why he thinks we'll come bottom. I guessed it would be something like that but ran out of interest shortly after posting...
DuncanRG Posted 31 July, 2013 Posted 31 July, 2013 This comment/blog might be worth keeping an eye on... entitled to his opinion of course, but really? Bottom?! Arsenal doing the double and City winning the Champions League aren't far off either, in terms of ludicrous predictions...
Kingsbridge Saint Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Is this a joke post...? Nope. New manager, bunch of overseas prima donnas on ludicrous money, lacking dressing room unity. And Gareth Barry. What could possibly go wrong. 7/1 to finish outside the top 4. I'm having some of that.
Dalek2003 Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 This comment/blog might be worth keeping an eye on... entitled to his opinion of course, but really? Bottom?! Preposterous prediction, he should be falling in line and see us at least in the top 10.
Minty Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Preposterous prediction, he should be falling in line and see us at least in the top 10. Why are you going so overboard with this pointless angle now? Have some conviction, give your opinion, back it up, and stick to it. If you think we'll finish 17th again this season, say so... I'm happy to consider anyone's prediction if they back it up with a clear reasoning, but he hasn't done so, and given the clear consensus (amongst NON Saints fans) it clearly sticks out as a strange one, hence I'll be interested to read his blog (if he ever updates it) to see why he thinks that way.
DuncanRG Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Football broadcasting is worth so much now I suppose the BBC might not be able to offer competitive wages for the star pundits. However, their frontline team is far, far better than ITV's current crop and I bet they pay less. Their on-the-ground reporters are still as good as Sky's and Pat Nevin's one of the best in the business. As pundits go I think Sky's Monday nights will be irresistable with Neville and Carragher both on the programme.
Mr X Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Loving the prediction from Joel Northam that says we will finish forth top ten would be fantastic
Junior Mullet Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Nope. New manager, bunch of overseas prima donnas on ludicrous money, lacking dressing room unity. And Gareth Barry. What could possibly go wrong. 7/1 to finish outside the top 4. I'm having some of that. Who do you think will replace them in the top 4?
yellow&blue Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 Well Lawro will have more time for cr*p predictions now he has been relegated by MOTD: http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/world-of-sport/pundit-lawrenson-relegated-bbc-hansen-survives-141026870.html

Professor Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 You can see how these football experts are worth their wages. The predictions for the top 4 teams are particularly astute and clearly based on inside knowledge and an understanding of the game that ordinary fans couldn't hope to have.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 1 August, 2013 Posted 1 August, 2013 This comment/blog might be worth keeping an eye on... entitled to his opinion of course, but really? Bottom?! Such a lazy prediction for bottom 3. How he thinks that Saints will be bottom of the table come May 2014 is beyond me and Norwich will not be in the bottom 3 either. If you swap us and NCFC with Hull and Stoke/Sunderland I'd personally agree.
CB Fry Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Such a lazy prediction for bottom 3. How he thinks that Saints will be bottom of the table come May 2014 is beyond me and Norwich will not be in the bottom 3 either. If you swap us and NCFC with Hull and Stoke/Sunderland I'd personally agree. Why is it lazy to predict something different to other pundits? Surely it's lazier to just forecast Saints to be mid table just like all other experts. Personally I think Norwich are a reasonable bet to go down. Stoke will be fine and Hull could stay up. Both have managers with proven ability to deliver mid table Prem finishes. Something, funnily enough, Saints don't have.
solentstars Posted 2 August, 2013 Posted 2 August, 2013 Hope so now need to get rid of the rest and revamp the show. Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
SW5 SAINT Posted 3 August, 2013 Posted 3 August, 2013 I thought Bournemouth were in the Championship next season.........!!!!
LostBoys Posted 3 August, 2013 Posted 3 August, 2013 Just got the boot from the BBC - not before time - made my day
CB Fry Posted 3 August, 2013 Posted 3 August, 2013 Just got the boot from the BBC - not before time - made my day Who's saying this then?
simo Posted 15 August, 2013 Posted 15 August, 2013 So it begins guess he never got the boot ! http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/23667286
