Heads up that the the ex Saints made up of Matt Le Tissier, Steve Guppy, Rod Wallace, James Beattie, Neil Maddison, Tommy Widdrington, Jo Tessem, Franny Benali, Dave Beasant, Ian Baird, Matt Oakley, David Hughes, Gordon Watson, David Howells as well as skate Paul Walsh will be taking to the pitch on August 2 in a match organised by the Jolly Farmer pub in Warsash.

Kick off is at 6pm at West Hill Park School in Titchfield followed by a ska evening at the Jolly Farmer Pub in Fleet End Road, Warsash from 8pm.

Funds raised will go towards the ex-Saints charity to hold a Christmas party for carers of handicapped people, as well as to the Liver and Pancreatic R&D cancer charity.

Residents have the chance to meet players at the pub after the game.

It costs £3 entry to the football match and children go free.

Born in Colden Common & played for the reserves a few times ... tenuous i know!

Yeah, I Know Steve myself but not sure he ever turned out for Saints in any capacity, Martin O Neil took him from CG to Wycombe didn't he?

Did Matt Oakley play? He was supposed to have played for Exeter against Chippenham on Wednesday but was apparently injured according to Tisdale.

He has come back fro injury and signed one year contract.

Match fit?

Suppose a game against the Jolly Farmer is a way of getting match fitness

At the moment probably not up to speed for the Jolly Farmer side.....but would easily make the step down to the Pompey side.;)
