SO16_Saint Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Saints News & Talk@SaintsFCFans Heading down the stadium later today. Tours have been cancelled and shop has temporarily closed. Signing is imminent, watch this space. The same thing happened when Wanyama was announced IIRC?
SO16_Saint Posted 30 July, 2013 Author Posted 30 July, 2013 Welcome home Bale! Where's the "like" button FFS
dubai_phil Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Or it could be a photo shoot of 1st Team players "helping out" in the shop to cope with the demand for the new shirts......
jasoneuelllfanclub Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Shop is open still. Someone on twitter said it was shut now reopened but his store been cancelled today. Could just be fans bored with lack of news and making sh1t up.

The9 Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Or away shirt launch stuff. No reason for them to close the store for that, they could either do it after closing or in the morning. It's not like the design is secret or there are any embargoes in place.
bowers-sfc Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Heard the reason they shut the top was to print the shirt of the player who meant to be signing, and also to take a load of shirts out to hang in the dressing room for the photos. Will take a walk down after I finish work at 5, see what I can see.
Big Bad Bob Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Oh, 'citing Southampton FC @SouthamptonFC4m Hoping to confirm this very soon! #sfcaway RT @St_Burridge: @SouthamptonFC when is the away kit being released to purchase? #saintsfc

ericofarabia Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Hang on a mo .... it's not Friday. Stand at ease.
The9 Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 There's no reason to close the store for a signing either. Shirt printing would seem to be a little excessive, you'd think they'd have "behind the scenes" machines as well as the ones in the shop. But then they don't even have one at West Quay, so who knows ?
Ivan Katalinic's 'tache Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 What needs to happen now is THEVMAN or Guan to come on and say something is imminent. Chaps?
Tokyo-Saint Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 We don;t sign anyone until they have had a good look around the megastore.
Saint Garrett Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 What needs to happen now is THEVMAN or Guan to come on and say something is imminent. Chaps? Guan normally just says ":)" FWIW, I don't think we'll be signing anyone today.
Sour Mash Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Heard the reason they shut the top was to print the shirt of the player who meant to be signing, and also to take a load of shirts out to hang in the dressing room for the photos. The9 Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Why would they need to shut the shop to do that? To stop the masses of people queued up and buying the beautiful and classically inspired historic new home shirt from seeing someone print a name on the back of a shirt, I'm guessing. Seems quite a reach, doesn't it ?
bowers-sfc Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Why would they need to shut the shop to do that? My thoughts as well, only going on what I was told. Will see whos cars are around in about an hour or so.
Baldbarbarian Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 I've just bumped into KD in Sainsburys & he said a signing is imminent...... oh S*** wrong thread
ericofarabia Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Have we got anybody positioned up a tree at The Training Ground yet?
dubai_phil Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Have we got anybody positioned up a tree at The Training Ground yet? Sh1t why TODAY of all days. Our Dubai Saints Secret Agent was at the bloody shop y'day. (NOT buying a shirt we'd like to add)
Window Cleaner Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 they just like winding you all up, bet they're stock taking or something.
Pilchards Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 All this talk about a shirt being printed, since when was the last time we did that?
Window Cleaner Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 All this talk about a shirt being printed, since when was the last time we did that? doesn't tie in anyway, doubt if we'll print shirts until the squad numbers are announced. Wanyama didn't havce a named shirt did he ?
Pilchards Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 doesn't tie in anyway, doubt if we'll print shirts until the squad numbers are announced. Wanyama didn't havce a named shirt did he ? Or Lovren.
Dig Dig Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Or Lovren. Could be that huge potential signing you were telling us about, the one wondering around St Marys car park a few weeks ago. As the signing is so big, maybe the club deem a printed shirt appropriate?

As the signing is so big, maybe the club deem a printed shirt appropriate? Where have I ever said he was wondering around the carpark?
Saint Charlie Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Where have I ever said he was wondering around the carpark? Doesn't matter where you said he was wandering. Point is he wasn't even in England! The last time we signed someone without any articles suggesting something was imminent was probably Hammond from Colchester for 400k. We are in the PL now, transfers like that don't happen.
Dig Dig Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 These rumours... Pilchards is a perfect example of where these rumours come from
Pilchards Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Pilchards is a perfect example of where these rumours come from I've not said anything about a new signing recently other than the day Wanyama was being shown around the stadium he was with someone else. Others have mentioned it as well. Im not going to defend myself against cowards that hide behind computer screens throwing out insults. Little cowards, no balls.
Give it to Ron Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 It was Deppo that posted it....and some still believe
Bearsy Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 It was Deppo that posted it....and some still believe Is he still post on here? pm me these secret details! It's tokyos, isn't it?
CB Fry Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Readers of this forum need to learn who is a reasonable source of info and who is consistently and utterly full of sh ite. I won't share who I think is reliably full of it because it will apparently make me a coward.
pressingon Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 What needs to happen now is THEVMAN or Guan to come on and say something is imminent. Chaps? Don't hold you breath a few weeks ago VMAN asked the last person on here to put the light out, I imagine he'd had enough of the petty bickering and point scoring that ruin so many threads.
hypochondriac Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Is he still post on here? pm me these secret details! It's tokyos, isn't it? Grey crabs would be my guess
Matthew Le God Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 All this talk about a shirt being printed, since when was the last time we did that? 18th January 2013... It does however make no sense that you would close the megastore to do it.
Barry Sanchez Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Great signing that, showed our intention........................
shirleysfc Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Great signing that, showed our intention........................ Yep, he all but relegated us!!
Barry Sanchez Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 I remember that great header off the line he did to keep us up, hold on...........................
Essruu Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Paging essru, essru to the main board please I'm currently patiently waiting outside Stamford Bridge. That's all I will say.
mulletsaint Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Shop is open still. Someone on twitter said it was shut now reopened but his store been cancelled today. Could just be fans bored with lack of news and making sh1t up. To be honest the only bit of your post that makes sense is the last sentence!
RonManager Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 Great signing that, showed our intention........................ I was there when he didn't play.
Big Bad Bob Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 I'm currently patiently waiting outside Stamford Bridge. That's all I will say. That's almost as bad as a VMAN smiley
Bearsy Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 It's amazing the number of people who claim to have been there when Forren didn't play. Must of broke stadium record that day.
shirleysfc Posted 30 July, 2013 Posted 30 July, 2013 I'm currently patiently waiting outside Stamford Bridge. That's all I will say. Lolz
