Dudes. I am going to be just down the road tomorrow night. Is it worth going?

Will we be putting out a decent team?

How much is it to get in?

I'll bring the sandwiches, you bring the flares. Be there, or be square.

Griffo I think you and Ash should meet up tomorrow night,he seems like a good guy and you might get a free sandwich from him.

Sounds awesome dude. Any Saint is my friend! Although make sure if you bring sandwiches then they have to have ham in. I love ham in a sarnie. I'll bring a blanket.

A couple of locals next to me were incensed that a couple of 'pikey scum' had run on to the pitch. Wasn't a bad match Welling were up for it as you would expect from players failing to make the higher grade playing against youngsters from prem club, a few heavy tackles but nothing too outrageous. They scored a nice opener and then out muscled us for their other two goals. Curtis scored a blinder for us and then Seagar with pen and a simple goal to equalise. Hard game but the boys battled well.

Thanks for this. Who played well for us?

Lee looked alright, his touch and passing was good although he failed to make an impact. Forte was falling over the ball a lot, he was trying to take them on but with very little success. De Ridder passes were going astray and again he made little impact.

Quality! Any of the kids stand out?

What a sad indictment of de ridder, lee and forte. They're on the pitch for 73 mins against welling and we go 3-1 down. They're all hauled off and we pull it back to 3-3.

2 out of 3 of this players have been lauded as greats on this forum in the past.

I believe quite a few thought Lee looked a really good player for the championship after a couple of lively performances, so Turkish decided 99% of the forum stated he was a world class player or something.

Lee did look exciting when he arrived, lively and cracking goal - we've not really had much chance to judge further.

Doubt anyone expected other two to star in top division.

Really who, by whom and when?

A number of people claimed last summer Lee was going to be a massive player for us last season, based on a couple of okay performances against Mid table championship clubs, I also remember after the Chelsea cup game a few people saying he looked good and his running and movement wa excellent, we didn't have players good enough to pick him out.

And who could forget the hero worship given to Steeeeeeeeve at times in our championship season, when around February time people started to realise what some of us had said all along, that actually he was sh*t.

Turkish.........I for one thought that Lee was going to be a cracking player and said so.

De Ridder film highlights etc looked very promising and I said so.

If by my comments you think I am some kind of idiot:p...you may well be right:blush:

You should see the other 300 hundred footballers I praised and was proved wrong:?

Probably why I am not classified as a football expert.:)

Then again...peeps like you are the font of all football knowledge...Well done you.:uhoh:

SDR and Lee won a lot of admirers early on. I think to be fair the people you are talking about are true die hard Saints fans who really want to see people succeed with the club. Given the choice I would rather spend a few hours in the pub with them than someone who *****es, moans and criticises at every opportunity. Wouldn't you?

I think I'd rather spend time with someone who knew what they were on about and told it how it was than sugar coating everything and anything because they on believe what they want to.

I believe Turkish is quite happy with his own company.

In all seriousness, De Ridder must be probably the worst winger we've ever signed. Neil McCann was pretty poor but played at a higher standard so can't really compare him. I honestly can't remember us signing a winger who's made as little impact or started less games, bearing in mind he was signed with a view to actually play a key part in the first team, rather than just some youngster for the future, or someone to accompany a bigger foreign signing. A truely woeful player

Sorry ran out of posts earlier. Cropper, unsighted for the first and couldn't do much about the other two, look good on a couple of one on ones. It think it was Colmer at left back, he isn't massive but was comfortable on the ball, he had two big lads on him at one point and he didn't flap drew them in and got out a great reverse pass between them and got a kicking for his troubles. Curtis goal was very good and Seager looked good.

Cheers for that. Cropper could be a decent keeper imo. My only worry for Seager is the likes of Lee, Barnard, Forte etc getting u21 time ahead of him and hampering his development.

I agree that I would much rather Seager get match time than Forte/Bernard etc when they will be leaving the club and Ryan is (hhopefully) on the way up. But I spose the club does have a responsibility to the players to play them and keep them match fit.

People seem to have very short term memories. Bernard did a good job a few years back when used and think he went on a really good run at the end of the league one season , something like 13 goals in the later stages of the season. Lee seems to be a good player and just needs to join a club at the right level/league and Im sure he will go on to do well. De Ridder does seem to of lost his way a bit, maybe a move back to the continent would be best, but Im guessing he is on quite a bit otherwise this would of happened already.
