We've been rumoured to have been chasing him all summer and have thought he's the perfect fit for Saints. Wages may be the problem, hence why other clubs have looked at a loan deal.

Would be a top loan signing, especially with City reinforcing their midfield/forwards to such an extent this summer. Would fit in with our perceived responsibility of bringing through top home talent. And his brother is a Saint. Could it happen?

You do realise that Sun story is 4 months old?

My bad... Trust the Beeb to recycle it today http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/gossip/

He was linked in the Sun again today, you linked to the wrong article...

You have a knack of saying things like this with such humility. It must be wonderful to live in a utopian world where everything you do is perfect.

It's not so much the content, but the delivery of this knowledge (googling) and correcting!

He's well overrated and Isgrove will be better than him in two years' time. Swansea did a good bit of business there.

You forgot the 'in your opinion'! Not sure you'll get too many agree with you though!

So far Isgrove is 20 and never played a league game at pro level. At that age Sinclair had done far more and has a proven PL record earning himself a move to the Champions.

Isgrove could prove a jem like Shaw last season, but it'll be a gamble starting with him... Doubt City would want to sell or loan Sinclair, as I imagine with their foreign influx they'll be hard pushed to keep their English players to satisfy domestic player requirements, but sure do hope we can lure him in as he's exactly what we need - someone with a bit of pace and PL experience, who's keen to impress both club and country managers.

1/4 of the wages and no real fee then yeah give him a shout, especially with the option to buy after a year (and still not pay him a man city wage). Chances are that wont come off though and he'll take the bigger wages at west ham...

Is he better than Lloyd?

Of course Sinclair's better. Isgrove's never started a league game!

I'd be interested in getting him in on loan.

And all you perverts will be able to stalk his cranially vacuous girlfriend round West Quay!!

Which is probably the real reason so many on here are keen to see it happen!

;)

She is probably the reason for his career stalling, pushing him to move to Manchester!

They broke up chief. He was dogging round d-pana & helen found out through sext messages + current bun kiss & tell. So ends the great romance of our times. :(

I saw him 2 weeks ago. Worst player on the pitch. No first touch, no football brain and no final product. Apart from that the rest of his game was poor. I hope we steer well clear.

I think he'd be a top signing. Doesn't his brother Jake play for our U21s? If so, that could be a good reason to get him here on loan.

He had one bad game no?

Clearly had all of those qualities when he was at Swansea. You don't suddenly become a bad footballer unless your name is Forren. He clearly made a mistake moving to Citeh (apart from the money) and his career will be resurrected by a move. He clearly is not that bad if Everton, West Brom and others are trying to get him as well as us. Martinez and Clarke are no mugs when it comes to realising talent. Quite hopeful that with Jake already being here he would see Saints as a good option. Surprised that he slipped through the Saints Academy net being from Bath.

Dunno, it's the only time I've seen him play.

Can't really make such a strong judgement in that case tbh. By all accounts, he was swanseas best player on their return to the PL.

If he had just had a similar season at Swansea and we were linked to him, I think the general reaction would be ''wow''. He's a good player, who has completely lost his way whilst chasing the $$$$$.

We can bring him back to earth.

Which one, the one where I say he was rubbish in that game? I was there and he was. Or the one where I say I hope we stay well clear? I do hope we steer well clear, both Lallana and Puncheon are better players. I've only seen Ramirez on the telly, and haven't seen Isgrove at all, so I can't speak for them.

I respect your right to disagree with my opinion, but not your right to tell me that I can't have one. That could be construed as arrogance.

I think all he was saying was that you can't fully judge a player's ability after only watching one game. One might think that's not enough time to form such a strong opinion.

Personally I think it'd be a good signing if on loan or quite a small transfer fee.

well he did very well last season for somebody who isn't a Prem player.

He had a good game against Chelsea. Amazing. No way he should be anything more than a backup player.

Posted
Puncheon is not a prem player.

Stats seem to suggest otherwise, seeing as how he played in the prem for the whole of the last season ;-) MLG will be all over this Joe!

How much of Lloyd have you seen? I have no idea who is better but you seem pretty certain.

Seen very little of Lloyd, but he is a rookie who is showing promise. Sinclair has played over a 100 league games and put in performances leading to Man City buying him.

Who knows what Isgrove will become, but currently you would be hard pushed to suggest Sinclair is not at this moment a better player, surely?

Well on that basis half our squad might be better than the Barcelona team, as we haven't seen enough to judge them? It's a pretty fair assumption to make, that based on the information we have at our disposal, Sinclair is currently a better footballer than Isgrove.

Rubbish. 7 goals from not too many appearances and performances suggest he is. Should be starting first game IMO. I'd have him ahead of j rod and Lallana.

This, he was our best attacking midfielder last season. Hoping he gets plenty of game time again.

Heard a rumour that someone asked Sinclair about signing for us permanently and he laughed and said no chance...#thinkshesbigtime
