whelk Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 Loic Remy seems reasonable value at £7m and QPR want to offload his £70k pw wage. After fees being touted on others represents decent value yes?
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 Was he not recently quizzed/charged/accused (delete as appropriate) over sexual assault?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 The SWF judge and jury doing their thang again! Remy is an excellent player, right age, right price, right time. And innocent until proven guilty Going to Newcastle though
itchen_dan Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 I'd have him here in a heartbeat. The exact type if player who could lead the line for us for the next 3/4 seasons with ease.

And innocent until proven guilty Going to Newcastle though Not saying he is guilty, but it is certainly baggage he comes with. Until proven innocent, it hangs over him one way or another. I personally also question someone that goes from being a £20m target of champions league clubs, to an £8m signing for a club already all but relegated. Undoubted ability, but for me that raises question marks, like most of those that joined QPR over the past two seasons.

However those calling him a "scumbag" before he's had a fair trial are ignorant imho.
Olallana Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 He´s a fit for a team playing on counterattacks rather than a possession based team.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 Calling him a rapist before a fair trial is ignorant. Calling him a scumbag is a bit different. Its ok to call everyone 'accused' a "scumbag"?
Black Sea Saint Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 always injured. Marseille were pleased to get rid, as QPR will be no doubt
pingwing Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 A. he's crap, B. he's on a bucket load of money, C. he's crap, D. he's a bad person... Basically that on repeat, seems exactly the type of player to bring in and undo all our hard work to build up a good team.
whelk Posted 25 July, 2013 Author Posted 25 July, 2013 Ok and point taken about his character and important nt to upset the character of team but sure most would take lying cheating 'scumbag' Suarez so morality issue doesn't always hold up
S-Clarke Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 He's clearly not a crap player, was easy to see his ability last year in his cameo appearances for QPR. His problem, as always has been, is injuries. Always injured. Can't go on a run of more than 10 games without being out for 6-8 weeks. I would imagine that would put clubs off, as well as his on-going criminal proceedings....
Glasgow_Saint Posted 25 July, 2013 Posted 25 July, 2013 150+ games and 60+ goals in last 4 years suggest the "always injured" tag maybe another myth

His problem is that he can smack in an amazing goal once in a while, half the time when it doesn't matter, but can't put in a decent shift across 90 mins (terrible phrase but it's the best description of him not being a team player).
