Interesting that he mentions ex players not getting free tickets when I know for a fact that some do.

He said they offer hospitality and tickets but thy come not expecting a free ride, he does not say that no one gets free tickets. The points he is making is no one should expect a free ticket but the club will off them if they wish too. Many many players and others in the past feel they deserve the red carpet treatment.

That's what he is saying.

I for one 100% agree

Interesting that he initially thought we wouldnt be able to sign Lovren, must rate him highly. Plus when Lovren spoke about targets he mentioned top 6 which presumably is what he has been told we want to do. Very tough to achieve, almost impossible with current team but might as well aim high.

If anyone at our club deserves the red carpet treatment it's Le Tiss.

He was focused on Euro qualification and stated top 7, top 4 and top 6 all in one sentence! Also about being excited about the project.

cant really see why anyone has an issue with this

See Nick on the uglies is getting his knickers in a twist about it.

the usual once yearly (maybe even twice yearly) thing that we hear from the chairman

isnt this what we dreamt off when lowe was spouting off his schit almost weekly?

imagine having dave whelan and hearing your chairman telling alan brazil whats going on every other morning

Hate hearing players refer to us as a project.

They're not referring to us. They are referring to what is expected of them. What would you rather have? Player talking about an exciting project, which is at least plausible, or how it has always been his long term dream to sign for Southampton, which probably isn't.

"I may be the figurehead" - can't ever imaging Guy Askham coming out with that! I prefer chairman with the class to stay in the background. I've met very few Italians who don't love themselves! (apologises to most of Twyford road)

Cortese does stay in the background most of the time, he almost never does interviews. He's no Whelan.

I can't imagine Cortese leading a reverse takeover which brings in no investment.

Thanks for the upload. I like Cortese's style - ambitious.

Good to hear key players like Lovren talk about top 5 - we may not get it but the players aspire to it anyway.

Going to be really interested to see how Lovren and Wanyama do, I'm hoping Lovren will be another Killer.

Just need that striker, whilst JRod will pull his weight there is far too much on RL's shoulders at the moment.

Bring it on.

Well on that basis I'm the figure head of my company but sure as hell I wouldn't be crass enough to make a point of stating it! Oops, just did ;-)

If you are the managing director and CEO and solely responsible for all the major decisions, driving the business forward and shaping the future of it, then yes you are.
