Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere, but I hadn't seen it and it made me laugh...

As a Saints fan who has spent some time in West Africa I can totally relate to the fanatical support you see out there, and it looks as though Kenya may be about to become a hotbed of Saints support! ;)

As a Saints fan who spent some time in West Africa, you can totally rate to East Africa? You do know Kenya is in East Africa right...?

Yes of course, that's what the whole article is based on... plus I went to school ;)

I meant with regards to the fanatical support Premier League clubs receive in West Africa.

My son, daughter in law and grand daughters are off to Kenya at the end of August might just give them a bin bag full of my old shirts to flog.

"While Southampton, or simply Saints, is not as colourful as Manchester United, it is better than nothing."

We have finally found our level. ;)

Red & White Striped shirts won't mean anything to these JCL's !!

Ah ha.

So THAT was how the Marketing Dept told NC they would shift all those new Home shirts

I dunno. D'you reckon your average Kenyan is going to have fifty nicker to spunk on a Saints shirt? Especially when he could be spunking on actual knickers, if linked article is anything to go by.

I know off topic but when we went to Mombassa a few years back was stunned how many of the kids in the shanty towns had arsenal shirts on, clealry was a charitable donation thing but a really nice touch never the less. Would have thought a similar effort from Saints fans would be a really good thing to do

Good thing or not, I'm not sure how many Saints fans would want to put on a Arsenal top.

You'll find out at the first game of the season.
