He was their 2nd choice, Ponch said no.

Funny how highly some on here rate Poch, but how aggressive, mental and dismissive they went at the thought of Barcelona being interested!!

Perhaps Gerardo will want Poch as his no.2?

Barcelona wouldn't offer Poch the job and he would be very unlikely to want it as an Espanyol legend. Akin to Neil Lennon applying or being offered the Rangers job.

Are they not 'local rivals' in the same way we are to AFCB?

You seriously think Pochetino wouldn't want the Barcelona job?

Not that they'd want him, it's laughable to even take this seriously.

Funny how some rate Pochettino so low and still think Barcelona would want him...

i kind of concur. From the Barca fans I've met (company I work for has offices in BCN, so I know a couple) don't seem overly bothered about them. They are just another team.

They only seem to care about real from what I can gather.

Just seen on Facebook by Dundee saint that mp was not at our game tonight . It's rumoured he is on a flight to Barcelona . He's staying at the Grand Hotel Eldorado

He is already in Barcelona (well, virtually). I'm sure he was there. I'm sure Dundee Saint has no idea.

I don't know if this point has been made on this thread but Pochettino has an employment contract with SFC and would have to pay the club huge compensation to be released from it, money he probably doesn't have. In any case he looks well settled here and he clearly believes he is a father to his players here and he doesn't look the time to turn his back on them at the drop of a hat.
