But, no, he doesn't set the pulse racing at all to be honest. A very average goal scoring record to say the last, up until his stint in Italy where he did better. Still not great though. Would hope we secure someone slightly more proven!

They've been pretty good. They called the Gaston deal last year before anyone else, would imagine there's something in it, but probably one of many options we're looking at.

I think this is probably agent talk and a rehash of an old link to strum up some business in a player, as Saints appear to be looking at players of a higher calibre now.

We surely already have enough players "of that standard" in that position i.e Mayuka, so its rather pointless isnt it? Any player that comes in must surely be better than what is here already?

Saw him a few times for Siena in Serie A last season, joined them on loan in January and went on to score 7 in 12 games. Couldn't save them from relegation though. Decent talent, but probably not the level we are after now.

Well we know that Lee and Sharp are not in MP's plans, and on the evidence of last season Mayuka is not very good (though I think he could be) so if this guy is any good (i.e. better than Bambi) at all he could actually be what we need.
