SouthamptonFC: 85: Llagostera substitute Fullana lashes one well over Gazzaniga's crossbar as the hosts look for a late equaliser. #saintsfc

A fatter version of Lallana?

SouthamptonFC: 88: @VictorWanyama tries an absolute pile-driver of a half-volley from 25 yards but it goes just off target. #saintsfc

SouthamptonFC: 89: @Luke_shaw3 jinks his way through the Llagostera side to get into a shoot position but he's foiled by a late block. #saintsfc

Thanks for commentary those who were there. I think you made a good effort given the limited resources you had (twitter etc). Have you found any decent beer to drink over there? Best regards!

I must admit, the kit looks a hell of a lot worse in action than it does hanging up. It's usually the opposite!

Horrific color contrasts. Very amateur and tacky looking.

Oh well, it's only a kit!

Oh well, only a year to wait for one I can hopefully buy.

The socks are extremely nasty as well.

Oh ****, have Arsenal just bought 10 of our players?

One thing it ain't is Arsenil. It's such a bad red it looks almost Orange in the pics on here & Twitter.

Are we Blackpool in disguise?

Jos sat behind me in the stand said they had a very hard training session this morning. So 45 minutes on a close evening was a good work out, the Llagostera goal was well worked and taken. Rickie was dripping wet at the final whistle.

Both Rickie and Kelvin were very chatty with us when they made their way to the coach genuine blokes the both of them. Lovren was amusing too.

comedy moment of the night was when my mate asked where they were staying Jos replied "**** Knows!!" "Middle of nowhere!!".

Wanyama and Lovren are both listed on the Saints website (and numerous other websites) as being 6 foot 2. That picture above suggests otherwise, as did the video when Wanyama met the team at the hotel.

Was the Jay-Rod show judging by the highlights and twitter updates... Steven Davis involved alot first half.

Thought some of Isgrove's footwork was superb and doesnt seem shy of pace in the highlights

Also whoever was marking the guy for there goal was shocking marking.

Just watched the highlights, some lovely link-up play from the lads but just lacking a finish. Jay's movement up top is absolutely quality, with the right players to supply him then he could be a great asset to our squad this season. Rickie in particular looked to link up well with him playing slightly deeper.

Looks like Luke Shaw from the video, although you can't see whether the bloke was static or made a run from deep to get onto the cross. Either way it is Page 1 stuff!

I think he's 6ft 2, but Lovern is 6ft 4.

That wasn't what I was talking about but think you might be correct.

If you think Ricky might be (almost) 6'3 then he looks in the middle of the other two with Lovern being 6'4. Maybe Lovern doesn't want to tell anyone he is 6'4 as that is moving into freakishly big zone.

So from the photos I think I've worked out the shirt numbers (one or two assumptions as well) for anyone who is interested. Clearly not squad numbers for the new season.

------------------------------------1 K Davis (12 Gazza)-------------------------------------------

2 Chambers (17 Clyne)----5 Turnbull (24 Stephens)----6 Fonte (16 Lovren)---------13 Fox (23 Shaw)----

-------------------------8 S Davis (19 Schneiderlin)----------15 Cork (21 Wanyama)------------------------

4 Guly (18 Isgrove)------------10 Ward-Prowse (3 Lambert)----------11 Puncheon (20 Lallana)----------

-------------------------------9 Rodriguez----------------------------------------------

No number 7 or 14 from what I could see

Seems ever so slightly odd that some players are wearing their usual squad numbers yet others aren't? Gotta be a conspiracy theory to be had there, surely...this is SaintsWeb afterall... :)

But in Wanyama's case it is his chest measurement.

Rodriguez's movement was decent, but his finishing was pretty poor on all those one-on-ones.
