alpine_saint Posted 19 July, 2013 Author Share Posted 19 July, 2013 And how much more 'Conservative' could a minority Tory Government be ? Go away, do some research, and come back with a list of UK minority administrations that have lasted for more than 18 months. Well, seeing as it is about that amount of time until the next general election, it makes sense for the Tories to try. They deffo need to reestablish their tory credentials until then, otherwise their vote will be split with UKIP. No way is the current f**king mess going to a second term. Do you honestly think they'd be able to pass a more orthodox Conservative agenda as a minority administration ? The LDs have always been very uneasy in supporting what HAS got through, make it more right-wing and it'll be the Tories vs everybody else. The coalition, with all the necessary compromises, is here until this Parliament has run it's full term - then the fun begins.
