Lennon "proud" of selling Wanyama

What is wrong with what he said, he is proud of the picking up a star for a song and being part of his development over the the last two years. They bought him for nothing that is a fact, they have developed him that is a fact because we are splashing £12m out for him. Then he goes on to say he is going to a good club. I think you are 110% numpty.

“He could do it now but it was Southampton who were brave enough to put their money on the table and they got their man.

“You don’t know what will happen in football. Will he settle down there? I don’t think he’ll have a problem because he’s moved to a good club.

“They had a great season last year, they’ve had two promotions and have now maintained their status in the Premier League. So they’re a club building for the future.”

I have nothing but praise for Lennon over the way he has handled this. His positive comments in the press about us and of COURSE he & Celtic have played a massive role in getting VW into the EPL.

Lennon clearly accepts the fact that Celtic are a no mark Selling Club these days and says things the right way.

Now compare his public utterances with other (former) PL managers for example

Damn. I have a strong dislike for Celtic and Lennon but have to admit that both he and the club deserve respect for the way the deal was handled and the comments afterwards.

The little numpty will try to tell people it was he who made Wanyama, so all our development of him here will look like it was HIS hard work.

Go easy on the facepalms; you're wearing them out at this pace... Do you enter them manually or is it your auto-signature?

He has every reason to be proud - buy a player for a pittance, improve him and sell him for 11 odd million more than was paid? How can we take the credit for that? He's young enough to improve even more while he's with us and we'll sell him on at a profit when the big clubs come knocking. Don't think we'll beat the 11 mill though.

He has said nothing wrong. We signed him for 900k and sold him for 12.5 million. From our point of view that is fantastic business. With Hooper now looking likely to move our transfer policy is starting to prove how good it is. As a Celtic fan I'm delighted with this deal, as much of a blow it is to lose Wanyama, the money gives us a chance to strengthen in key positions. He has every right to be proud of the deal, he developed him from a player who came looking raw, to one of the few players in our team who were genuinely Champions League class.

Neil Lennon is a good man and a good manager. He certainly isn't a "little numpty" as you describe. He has developed the player from a nobody to a £12.5 mill star. Not sure what your beef is.
